List of Adam S Fierer's Reviews
Fat obsessed, basically a chiropractor for bariatric surgery. Nose bleed? Fat. If a Jiffy Lube attendant became a bariatric surgeon, you might get a more gentle push for dangerous surgery.
Perhaps the worst professionalism I have ever experienced from the office staff and the doctor. I had mistakenly been referred to Scripps by another gastroenterologist. I already had 2 tests done and Scripps had scheduled a 3rd final test prior to surgery when my I was denied treatment because Scripps wasn't covered by my insurance. That's when my Family Practice doctor sent me to Dr. Fierer. My referral was approved in early November. From day 1 I explained that based on tests I already had I knew I needed a Nissen Fundoplication repair. Dr Fierer would not see me even for a consultation until all records from the prior tests were in. Over a period of 3 months I repeatedly called to check on my status. Each time it was as if it were the 1st time I ever called. Nobody took any notes so I had to re-explain my situation every time I called. I was promised call backs but never received any. I was told records hadn't arrived or I can't find your file. They told me they would call to see what the hold up was and call me. They didn't. As records arrived suddenly additional records were required causing still further delays. Finally in February, I was scheduled to see the doctor. Within 5 minutes I was told, "You need a repair of your Nissen Fundoplication surgery and I don't do that." He said he would refer me on and he was done. Clearly I'm upset with Scripps for not sending records that were authorized through appropriate channels. I'm upset with my Family Practice doctor for referring me to Dr. Fierer in the 1st place. But all of this could have been avoided by a simple televideo consultation way back in early November. If I had a catastrophic problem my situation could be beyond hope by the time he sent me on my way. As it is I continue to deal with my pain while I wait for the process to repeat itself once again, although hopefully more expeditiously this time.
This review and rating has nothing with Dr Fierer himself but rather reflects my experience with his office scheduling staff. In mid August of 2020, during my yearly physical examination, my Doctor discovered a small hernia In my abdomen. He referred me to Dr Fierer to have the surgery. I called Dr Fierer's office to schedule an appointment. Since this first call, it's been nearly a month and I have yet to get an appointment scheduled. At my first call, the office staff person said we don't have your file yet from your primary care Dr so I call them and get it sent over. I will call you as soon as I get your file. I waited about a week and no call so I called her back. I asked her why she hadn't called me back and she put me on hold to check my file. When she returned she said we still don't have your file. Maybe your doctor's office sent it to our old fax number; I'll call them and give them our new number then I'll call you back. When I got no call back, I called Dr Fierer's office again. Once again, I was put on hold for her to check to see if my file had arrived. She came back on the line and said my file was there but the Dr had not reviewed it yet and he wasn't due in till Thursday. She said he will review it Thursday and I will call you back to set up a consultation. That was a week ago and still no call back. So, I called again this morning and got a recording saying to stay in the line and my call would be answered in the order it was received or I could press 1 and leave a message. I continued to hold and after about 3 minutes the music was interrupted with another recording saying my call was next. Then after 2 or 3 more minutes, the music was interrupted again with a message saying my call with 4th in line! I continued to hold and in a few more minutes the music was agin interrupted with a massage saying my call was now number 6 in line so at this point Impressed 1 and left my name and number and asked to be called back to schedule my consultation. So far no call back and it's been 5 hours!! Guess I will have to get a new referral from my Dr for a different surgeon.
Hernia repair doc, job well done, recovery went well, pain is no joke, a man of few words but felt in more than good hands.
Dr Fierer fixed my hernia and very happy with recovery and procedure. This type of surgery is no joke about the pain, but I walked out of recovery to get into my husbands car. Very Happy mom to 3 kids
Very happy with entire process for hernia repair. Doctor his the fact that maybe my hernia wasn’t as bad as I thought but understood my fear of having it to begin with and fixing the problem. I’m very happy with the recovery too, I was able to walk out of the surgery center to the car.
From the beginning, Dr Fierer showed a rare level of caring. He operated on me dec 18 for colon cancer, and am now.. cancer- free. He was concerned and gave me great info all through the pre-op, day of op and post- op processes. Would go back anytime to him!
I had surgery for colon cancer dec 2018. Dr Fierer could not have given me better care, pre, during and post- surgery. Am now.. cancer-free! His bedside manner was excellent and he showed a lot of caring. Would go back to him, anytime!!
Excellent surgeon and cares about his patients.
Dr. Adam S. Fierer recently performed hernia removal surgery for a large lump in the groin area. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and patient. The appointments were prompt and the help considerate. Highly recommended.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
