List of Anthony S. Padula's Reviews
I believe that I was well treated for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by Dr. Padula for six years. However, with age, I also developed osteoarthritis (OA) which he neither acknowledged nor diagnosed....at least to me.. I spent two years confused with increasing pain and no relief. I finally diagnosed myself, requested X-rays which confirmed OA. I had assumed that rheumatologists would also treat OA, lbut learned that this doctor did not. And so, I asked for a referral to a pain-management specialist. Dr. Padula referred me to a pain physician who lacked board certification in pain management and who had a reputation for being disdisrespectful to women.Padula had not done his homework. In summary, he failed to adequately diagnose, treat, or even refer me for help with my OA. Eventually, and on my own, I found an excellent pain management specialist. I continued to work with Dr Padula for my RA, until, on an occasion when he was overworked and sleepless from what I can only refer to as a "side hustle" (as consultant to a nascent computer-based medical company), he lost his temper, and, quite simply yelled at me. I realized that it was no longer in my self-interest to continue treatment with Dr. Padula. With stress and difficulty, I found an excellent rheumatologist to whom I am extremely grateful; he is intelligent, low-key, compassionate and supportive. I am sad that someone who is as talented as Dr. Padula lost his perspective.....and violated hs oath to "do no harm". He harmed me. I was in pain, unnecessarily, for two years because of his hubris and neglect.
I have been a patient of Dr. Padula since I was 15 years old. My mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis and recognized the signs in me quickly. After a year of debating with my pediatrician, I finally got a referral to see Dr. Padula, since he also treated my mother. He took me and my condition very seriously, and he was very reassuring. As an adult now, I look back thankful to be in the hands of such a competent and caring doctor when I was still just a scared kid who’s body was betraying her. I have been in remission with RA, all thanks to Dr. Padula and his treatment plan. He always listens to my concerns and runs tests to put my mind at ease.

Dr. Padula was a great stroke at Brown. With his help we stayed undefeated. Can’t wait to go see him at his office.
I went to see Doctor Padula for a second opinion on a difficult diagnosis and liked him so much I changed to him. Doctor Padula has an excellent office manner and never makes me feel he is rushed. He listens to all my concerns and discusses options with me. He has supported my decisions on medications when something happens. I can call his office assistant with a question and have an answer back the same or next day. I trust him and feel he has my best interest at heart.
Prescribes too many meds. Likely for profit. Has a terse and high-pitched bedside manner. Elderly patients beware he's neither in tune, sympathetic or caring.
Dr. Padula yelled at me on my second visit with him when I asked him to write down the changes in the medications he had prescribed. Yes he YELLED. I was on 3 different meds and he rattled off the changes so fast I just wanted to make sure I understood him correctly. He yelled, "You should bring your own pencil and paper with you so when I give you instructions you can write them down. Just like when you were in high school write down what the teacher tells you to do." Then, he put his hand in his mouth and started chewing his fingernails! I was appalled that a doctor would do this to a patient obviously suffering in pain and how gross to watch a doctor chewing his fingernails. There is something wrong with this person.
I’m dr padulas patient bot several years
not much compassion
I Do Not recommend Dr. Anthony Padula at all.... I wish I had done my research before taking my mom to see Dr. Padula. He was very unprofessional, rude, opposite of compassionate etc.... He is the opposite of what they teach in medical school.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
