I appreciate that despite entering the wrong time for my appointment & being 20 minutes late, the young woman working the front desk was nice & understanding and I was able to keep my appointment for my yearly full skin exam. Ms. Shea had a pleasant demeanor and did a very thorough job. Thanks for making me feel comfortable.
Dr. Arzeno is very professional!!! Nice and helpful staff! Clean, quiet and comfortable place!
I'm disappointed to be leaving this review, but I have to reiterate what many others said below. I had a good experience here two years ago so went back when I had a skin flare up last week. I booked a same-day appointment on Thursday via Zocdoc. Arrived and they had no record of the appointment (despite the fact that I had a confirmation email clearly stating I had the correct date and time). They did manage to squeeze me in so I saw the doctor. The doctor said she'd send 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy. When nothing had come through to my pharmacy by that night, I messaged Berman via their messaging portal. Friday I tried multiple times to get through to the front desk with no luck. Called the pharmacy, they said they didn't have anything from the clinic. I finally got through to Berman around 3pm and they sent over the prescriptions. However, my insurance flagged the RX and said they needed more information from the clinic. It's now Monday and I have been calling all day today. The one time I did get through to their mainline, they put me on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. I've left a message on their mainline and their RX line and also sent a message through their portal again. No response. And still no RX despite the fact I've been waiting since Thursday.
They are the best!
My husband went here for a bump on his arm. They ended up incising it and removing an infected pocket of puss (gross I know). They stitched it up and sent him on his way. A day later when he was at work as a first responder, his whole arm turned red and became very swollen. It was very concerning. He ended up at the ER where they diagnosed him with cellulitis, a very serious infection, and had to get IV antibiotics right away. The ER doctor asked who stitched him up after removing the infection and was shocked that they did such a thing because it closed in the infection and caused the cellulitis. I tried to call them after this happened and no one would take my call in a meaningful way. We ended up getting a bill for this, which I again tried to call to dispute because of the deficient medical service he received, and again no one would take my call. Out of fear of getting sent to collections, we paid it but the whole situation was handled very poorly from start to finish. We switched dermatologists after this.
I was seen quickly and efficiently. Impressed by the professionalism of the stafff.
The Danna Yang was prompt and thorough with my whole body skin cancer check. She also explained some bumps that are suddenly appearing as I age. It was a great visit and I’ll certainly return.
Always putting the patient first. Always taking the time to listen.
HORRIBLE customer service and contact. Used to be reliable and professional and now has become unreachable and incompetent. It took me a month just to talk to an actual person just to get a prescription refilled. Still have not gotten two others filled and going on four months. Billed me for services that were not given. Anytime you call the phone is routed to a different 800 number in a different country. You have to go in to actually talk to people but then they bill you for services. Used to have a thoughtful dermatologist who actually listened to me but now have to see someone who doesn't even remember meeting me or what has and hasn't helped. Will be seeking another office.
Unfortunately the punctuality of Berman Skin Institute at Walnut Creek has gotten a lot worse. The staffs run at an extreme tight schedule (10 minutes per session) and thus if there are a lot of patients lining up before you, your appointment will get backed up badly. I have been having to wait for about 30 minutes past my appointment start time, including today. I scheduled one at 2:40pm today and I wasn't called to get in almost at 3pm. I had to leave early as I had client meetings in that afternoon so I pretty much wasted my time commuting to the center back and forth and got nothing done. Overall, I think this place has great doctors, but the on time performance is just horrible. I hope the management can address this issue soon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
