She is always rushed and patient communication is woefully lacking. In addition, neither she or her staff return post surgery calls or messages via myhealthonline. It is just completely unacceptable that she is such a horrible communicator!

I have been seeing Dr. Chui for many years for several types of skin cancer, including melanoma. I have always had a positive experience; she is very thorough in her examinations. Obviously, there is a protocol for skin checks and they are followed. I do note that, since the connection with Golden State, the visits seem to shorter with less time for exploring issues. Dr. Chui has done many skin surgeries on my face over the years. These have left only minimal scarring. I feel confident in her expertise.

Dr. Chui has been my "dermadoc" for over 20 years. She is the epitome of dermatologists and has treated my serious ailments as well as cosmetic annoyances with diligence, intelligence, kindness, and honesty. I have recommended her many times--everyone has been so pleased with her. She is a consummate professional, caring physician who concentrates thoroughly on the problem she is presented with. Dr. Chui is one of the best doctors around. For starters-Her surgical skills are unparalleled. The best outcome after a skin surgery I have ever had in terms of healing. She is SO good-just a superb surgeon. My friends see her as well and they've have had the same excellent outcomes. Dr. Chui is personable, caring, honest and so incredibly knowledgeable. The doctor you look forward to seeing. I wish there was a more than a 5 star rating as an option!!

Two visits, one for a second opinion on possible skin cancer and a second on a more routine growth. I arrived an hour late to my second appointment due to my fault, but they politely fit me in despite being busy. Dr Chui is an excellent diagnostician. She had a different opinion than my prior dermatologist on the skin cancer, who had prescribed a topical application of a chemo therapy ointment. Dr. Chui diagnosed the condition as not cancerous, which saved me from unnecessary and expensive treatment. My return visit to her confirmed her correct diagnosis. She is very pleasant and professional as a bonus, and I strongly recommend her without reservation to anyone.

As a family, we have been going to Allura for years seeing Dr. Chui and Dr. Maltz. They have both been fantastic! Recently, I have seen Dr. Chui as Dr. Maltz took a break during Covid (I believe he is back now). She is wonderful, knowledgable and I know I am receiving excellent care. There are some reviews saying she does not have a warm manner, I would say she has a professional manner and over time, as we have come to know each other a bit, she is very personable and lovely. Highly recommend both doctors, and as for Dr. Chui, she is wonderful.

Reading the rest of the reviews, i have to concur . Dr. Chui is the ice princess of this practice. I brought my Dad into the clinic for severe itching and she could have cared less. Even my Dad who used to be a surgeon was taken aback by her brusque demeanor. Bedside manners aren't usually the strong suit for derm docs, per my derm doc friend. So I guess I should have set my expectations. She tends to be quite distant, cold and aloof. On the contrary, Carmen (my facialist) and Cybele (laser treatment) are super warm and friendly. I don't know if Dr. Chui thinks she's above other folks in the office since she's a doctor or what, but I certainly won't be going to her for my skin ailments.
