We have been under Dr. Candido-Vitto's care since my son was diagnosed with T1D. She and her t3am have provided some of the best medical care I have experienced outside the Mayo Clinic. They know their stuff and communicate very clearly.

Totally frustrated by the visit to this doctor and the facility of Stanford. I did not come just to hear theoretical stuff. My kid has short stature, low IGF-1, height lower 3d percentile. Why are there no clinical signs to send authorization request for treatment. I have to look for another pediatric endocrinologist. Not fair.

I did not expect the doctor would not take the issue of short stature of my kid seriously despite IGF-1 is low as well as height is below 3d percentile. I have to look for another pediatric endocrinologist who would submit request for growth hormone treatment. Not fair. I did not come to hear theoretical stuff, but how my kid could be diagnosed and treated. Strange facility which is hardly to believe ...

Did not enjoy her and treated teenager condescendingly as though they were a very young child. Would not recommend ever for any thyroid conditions.

I've taken my daughter to see Dr. Candido-Vito several times and every time we walk in, it's as if it is our first visit. The intake nurse comes in unprepared and we have to answer the same introductory questions each time. The doctor herself doesn't appear to know who my daughter is and gives her advice that does not pertain to my daughter's lifestyle, no matter how many times we've tried to explain that to her. It's like the doctor is on auto-response and doesn't see patients as individuals. The office furnishing seem to be designed for early grade-schoolers, which makes my teen-aged daughter uncomfortable: The examination tables are about half her body length and the office decor resembles a nursery. Perhaps this doctor is fine for young children with Diabetes, but for older children with other endocrine system issues, I would not recommend Dr. Candido-Vito.
