List of Douglas Grant's Reviews
Dr. Grant is the best pain management doctor around. He treats me with respect and is an excellent physician. I highly recommend Dr. Grant as he is a highly qualified physician.
I have been a patient of Dr. Grant for about 14 years. He is a very compassionate and kind doctor who provides his patients with the best care. He is thorough in his approach and has been very effective in helping me manage my pain. His office staff is awesome as well.
Grant is impressed with his own intelligence, exhibiting his superiority by using words that the average person wouldn't know. His own staff admits (off the record) that he has an enormous ego. There's no negotiation with Grant; it's his way or the highway. When challenged he told me that if I didn't like it I could vote with my feet. He sets arbitrary limits on the medication he prescribes. Regardless of medical need, he will say that it was the decision of his practice to set a particular limit. When pressed further he blamed the limit on the CDC. Actually, the CDC limits are a guideline; the physician can prescribe more if he or she wishes. In short, he is arrogant, impatient, unwilling to compromise, prejudiced (not racist) and an all around unpleasant fellow. In modern parlance, he sucks. I wouldn't let him anywhere near anyone I cared about. Just to be fair, he is neat as a pin. To wind up, his staff is quite good, they actually try to correct his faults if they can.
Hello. My experience with Grant & most other staff at his WC facility was a nightmare!!! I transferred from the Chronic pain dept at kaiser. 10yrs of EXCELLENT care from caring, trusting & REAL concerned frim Drs & staff of for quality of life. Grant shows NO concern, care or comfort level, more importantly, NO concern of the quality of your life. I suffered 6 days without pain meds due to his lack of care, ended up in the emergency room a few times. Lost one of my jobs due to it & several days of paid work. My pain is debilitating & life long. If your looking to restore quality of life like Grant advertises, FIND another Dr. Im so unbelievably disappointed & saddened. As a pain patient, life is already difficult. He made mine worthless for a short time. Thank GOD for all the TRUE HONEST caring Drs out there.
Although it was a consultation appointment I was really impressed with Dr.. Douglas Grant
Why come to work at all, Dr. Grant if you are always going to rely on the biased reports of nurse practitioners and an inaccurate medication database? Go see your own patients. Look at them while they talk to you. they are people in pain. Most of them are honest people desperate for help. They aren't all drug seekers but if you are going to deny them drugs then you must offer working alternatives. Please be fair to people and give them the benefit of the doubt if there is a misunderstanding or mixup and they don't do exactly what you want right away. You may need to repeat the rules a few times for the dumber patients but to punish patients for not understanding is wrong and cruel.
Refused to treat me at all in the future after I was "too slow" to wean off a conflicting medication. Only saw me once, then relied on the biased reports of nurse practitioners to make inappropriate decisions about my treatment. Made no efforts to order tests or do anything to figure out why my pain isn't going away. Healthy alternatives to addictive meds were not offered.
Did not talk or listen much to your problem, requesting for a new doctor.
Pushes for expensive tests and procedures that were not help my condition and leverages his possition to try to get you to get them. Obviously in this field for the money and not the patient.
I agree that the wait times have improved with dr. grant. Last year towards the end of the year it was horrible! At one time I waited 2 hours to be seen. I had my children with me so it made matters worse. I also agree that meeting with the fellows is irritating. There is one male fellow that I do not like at all! He is rude and makes you feel like you are there just for the medicine. On the other hand there is this one female fellow that was very compassionate and I liked her a lot! She has blonde hair. I would like to spend more time with dr. grant, I think that he is a great doctor. I understand that the fellows help dr. grant to speed up the flow of the day but maybe he should limit how many patients he sees in his practice. Maybe not accept new patients for a while, that way the current patients have a higher priority

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
