I should have read the yelp reviews before booking an appointment at this dermatology office. They do not spend the time they should explaining a procedure and giving follow up instructions after the cosmetic treatments. Seems they want patients in and out quickly. I expected more for cosmetic treatments especially since I had to pay upfront for services before the treatment is done.

Your upbeat manner, clear answers and quick work freezing some suspicious spots were just what I needed before leaving the country for a month! We just had our six month skin checkups, both my wife and I. As usual, Melissa was friendly, outgoing, and thoroughly professional. I cannot imagine a more complete or better dermatology practice. Several actinic keratoses on my face and forehead were frozen, as was a growth on my cheek. She suggested a blue light procedure to lessen lesions on my face further.

Wasn’t informed the assigned MD is only at the Walnut Creek office once monthly. A routine procedure resulted in higher level of care urgent treatment. The visit made me feel like cattle being bearded through the auction barn, rushed and now injured.

I decided to give this dermatologist a try because it was conveniently close to my work, and at first everything seemed fine. The staff was mildly friendly and accommodating, but the wait was longer than expected for what should have been a quick appointment. During the visit, which was for Accutane, I felt there was a lack of clear communication and information. They began signing me up for things before all of my questions were answered, and I ultimately requested to leave because it didn’t feel like the right fit for me. When I spoke with the front desk, I was told I would only be charged for the appointment itself, which seemed reasonable. However, I was later billed for both the appointment and Accutane, even though I was never prescribed the medication or informed I would be charged for it. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking into other options. There are likely more transparent and affordable places available.
