List of John Muir Tice Valley Medical Office's Reviews
John Muir is suddenly cutting off therapy services to the 9,000 -plus residents of Rossmoor but eliminating therapy services at their Tice Valley Shopping center location. Seniors will no longer be able to use the existing Rossmoor bus service to obtain therapy services. Too many medical decisions are being made without looking at their impact. This was done on short notice and the staff are out of a job.
Hours they are closed for lunch need to be posted on their website and on voice mail for the WC location. And... Visiting the Oncology department in Concord has the wrong address listed shown on your appointment reminder. I was told upper management was aware of this, but couldn't or wouldn't fix it. How pathetic. I saw sick and elderly people who had parked, had help into the building only to be told they needed to drive to the other side of the hospital entrance. If JM upper management can not be patient focus and caring; why should anyone donate to the hospital when they can't even fix things. - Incorrect address, no lunch hours closed posted. And... Their outsourced billing takes them over a year to bill. It took me several phone calls for resolve. Rude and incompetent. Hard to get anyone who has a brain or ability to fix an issue they created.
I live this John muir facility. First of all because if it's proximity to my work and home and not having to hit the freeway is a huge positive point. The therapists I have seen here have both been professional knowledgeable and efficient (Spencer and Daniel ). The referral process even though done via John Muir did not give this address , I had to request it but it is clearly in network. So glad I asked. Like any PT center making appointments is the key elements both to a successful therapy but also to how you relate to the staff and facilities. My appointment process was worth it but keep in mind it is a process.
This is not the first time that I strongly recommend to use this hospital. This time I want to say Happy New Year to John Muir Health care Team! Thank you all for your wonderful service for my family. Special thanks to Karin F . Cardiology scheduling department. She really go out of her way to help patient and family to schedule my dad paracentesis appointments on time. Thank you Karin F. Special thanks to the nurse team at medical image department and all front desk staff team and Dr who works there are live savers. Happy New Year! Patient's Daughter Rong Levy
Get ready to wait 8 hours just to get your blood drawn and the blood drawing people aren't trained wel. The staff is rude and it's a waste of time. I'd rather relapse instead.
I see both Lori Sweet and Steve Garske for Physical Therapy. They are the best PT's in the world. They have been my PT's for many years. And they have refined their practice through time.
I arrived a few minutes late due to traffic caused by an accident. The receptionist told me to wait for the other receptionist to help me - so I waited patiently. After about 5 minutes she called me up and informed me that the current time was 12 minutes past my appointment time and they don't accept patients later than 10 minutes... Even though I had waited most of that time on her. The doctor agreed to still see me, fortunately. I had made the appointment because I need to have a physical done by a pcp within the last year, which I made clear in writing when I made the appointment and every time I spoke to someone on the phone about the appointment. After she had given me a clean bill of health, the doctor informed me that she would not be a medical reference for the physical I needed since this was my first time seeing her. It sounded like she didn't know the difference between a medical reference and a personal reference since she kept saying "well I don't know you, this is the first time I've met you" etc. I couldn't believe that even though I have no medical issues, she would refuse to relay that simple information to the agency requesting it. If that was something she was unwilling to do, she should've let me know when I made the appointment a month ago. I don't know many healthy young adults who have the time and money to go in to a primary physician rather than calling an advice nurse or going to urgent care when needed. I definitely will not be going back or "keeping" this doctor as my primary care physician.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
