Both visits I waited more than 30 minutes past my appointment time, only to wait even longer once in the room. Does not listen to patient’s concerns (i.e. told him my medication was no longer working, tells me to try it again). I will be requesting to see a new doctor ASAP.

Very inconsiderate! Never on schedule. I’ve scheduled the 1st appointment and still waited an hour or more. The last appointment I had scheduled, I was his first patient and after waiting well over an hour, I went to the front desk to learn he wasn’t even in yet. No regard for patients.

Excellent! I have been his patient for years! Very nice professional and understanding we both have a son the same age he is very personable kind and caring !

Terrible, he made me feel as if I was disturbing him and taking up his time. For a first time patient he made no professional attempt to make a first impression. When I was brought into the exam room he just sat there with his back to me and after a few seconds with a side look said "just have a seat there". The whole interview regarding my visit had no real interest or concern from Dr. Chao, really lacking any bedside manner. Hence I will not be returning as there are many other Neurologists in the area.

I have never in my life been so horrified with the fact that I cant make an appt. The phone service is HORRIBLE!! I wait on hold for over 30 mins. If this wasnt important I would find another dr, however he has already seen me but I may actually have to transfer my info to another dr. I am now on phone waiting again just to make an appt. Also after my last MRI I asked if the Dr can call me back to discuss. I called probably 8 times he got back to me over a month later

Dr. Chao is very caring, competent and knowledgeable in his evaluations and treatment. He is cautious about prescribing any medication and takes time to talk with me to re-evaluate my condition every visit.
