MIchael W. Deboisblanc's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Michael deBoisblanc was recommended to me by Dr. Roberts in Blackhawk Medical Group. When I first met him at our consultation meeting, I found him friendly, straight forward with a nice pleasant personality and of course, very knowledgeable about Lipoma masses in three different areas of my body. I did a lot of research prior to meeting him and he was patient in answering all my questions relating to lipoma masses and what to expect pre/post surgery including his personal follow up call the day after surgery. In addition, after researching his credentials and receiving more support from other staff personnel, I was very confident that he would be the right surgeon to remove my masses. I am not a fan of invasive procedures. Dr. DeBoisblanc had a great team supporting him. The Sequoia Surgical Pavilion facility is top notch and the staff/nurses (Christina, Jeannette, Kelly & Tiffany) were all very pleasant and knowledgeable. Again, I was very inquisitive during pre/post surgery and all were patient and kept me informed. The entire team kept me on schedule from 9:00 a.m. to discharge time between 12:30 - 1 p.m. or so. I also like to mentioned I met the anesthesiologist and discussed anti nausea/infection and he was aware of these issues and said it will be taken care prior to surgery. My apologies for not remembering his name as after taking 5 deep breaths, I was fully sedated and did not experience any issues at all post surgery. Overall, Dr. DeBoisblanc and team exceeded my expectations. His team of nurses including the anesthesiologist were awesome.  If I had to go through the invasive procedure again, I would without hesitation ask Dr. DeBoisblanc to help me.

Felt he was rushed and too sure of himself. Didn’t listen to my questions. Would never see him again!

In November of 2016 my husband was run over twice by an SUV which broke all of his ribs in multiple places. Dr. Deboisblanc was not going to do anything to fix his ribs and was just going to let him die. He was only 69. Fortunately as soon as I found that out I was able to fine a wonderful Thoracic surgeon who repaired all of his ribs and a pulmonary doctor who dealt with all of his lung issues. Yes, he was in the hospital for weeks, and then in a rehab unit for a couple of weeks, but he fully recovered and was able to continue with his 2-3 mile walks daily if he wanted to. He was even able to jump on a trampoline less than a year later with the great-grandkids. Too bad that when you have gray hair and are in your 60s you are not important enough to consult with other doctors to find a solution to the problems. He was not nice when I asked for a referral for a second opinion and told me: "I only needed one correct opinion." Once I got the referral, he never checked on him.

Hopefully you never need a surgeon but given that you're searching Yelp right now for surgeon recommendations, I can say that he's great at his craft and also a really good guy. 5 star facility and crew and experience all around.

Dr. Deboisblanc worked with 7 of our summer Registered Nursing/Medical Student Interns and I cannot say enough about his kindness, compassion and dedication. He spent time with them before and after surgery and encouraged his team to mentor and include the interns so that they could learn as much as possible. Each and every one of our interns walked away with a positive experience and this was by far their favorite experience as interns. This was a great deal of additional work for he and his staff and we felt very fortunate that he was willing to share his expertise with our students.

Not only is he an excellent surgeon he is also a very nice guy. When I came for a post op appointment he spent time with me and answered all my questions.
