Horrible nurse - zero help. Maybe if they get rid of this woman their scores would increase ! A doctor never came in and at no point did anyone even ask what happened or anything about the pain I was having. They said I need an mri but said I would have to wait til January 9th to see my doctor to find out the results. I can’t put any weight on my right leg and they didn’t even offer a leg brace or crutches or any direction on medication etc until we specifically asked. Horrible service - don’t waste your time!
My daughter’s Orthopedist with this group, cancelled appt to get cast off with NO explanation, had to call back to find out why, again NO explanation. Mind you it’s a week before Xmas and she wants her cast off, as did I. They rescheduled us with their urgent care. HORRIBLE! Staff is rude. 2 hour wait when we had an appointment to begin with. Sorry Muir Orthopedic Specialists, I am way unimpressed by you and your staff. Get more help, train your staff on how to handle rightfully frustrated patients and give an explanation as to why you would change an already set appointment.
Very disappointed. My mother in law visited from out of town and we needed someone to remove her cast. We were charged 432.10, which is highway robbery to remove a cast. We were never actually seen by a doctor. I'm highly disappointed and will seek other facilities in the future. I highly recommend Cal Sports Orthopedics for ancillary services like this. The charge was excessive and takes advantage of people visiting from out of the country who don't have a global insurance plan.
This is the first time in my life that I have written a negative review. When a person goes to urgent care with a problem it is urgent. I had had previous covid in addition to an immobilizing ankle injury and I was negative. In part because of the previous covid it was like I had smallpox. The PA I was saw demeaning, alarming, and upsetting. He gave me a boot I could not stand on and when I couldnt he got a wheelchair and rolled me to my car and basically said goodbye and good luck. Probably so I would not infect him even though I was negative and scared beyond belief. As a career long nurse it was unsafe and unethical. Today I saw a PA in the Muir practice and it was no big deal she said you will be fine. This wasbad medicine at urgent care. No one should have the week from hell last week to this week. I will never go to urgent care there again.
This one star rating is not reflective of the excellent doctors but of the inefficient and apparently, incompetent administrative management team. The poor rating is due to constant delays, failure to return calls or emails, wrong phone numbers illustrated on their website and social media outlets, as well as their malfunctioning website (patient portal). Their patient portal has been down for months with continual delays. My insurance plan does not require prior approval for a MRI scan at any particular location. Yet, my doctor's executive assistant insisted prior approval was necessary. After not hearing back for two weeks as promised, I finally contacted Muir Ortho Specialists' MRI Department directly. Their representative said prior insurance approval was not required (surprise, surprise!) and scheduled my MRI scan and my follow-up consultation to occur within a few days. Once you gain access to their doctors, you will get excellent medical care. They have an urgent care center with supposingly same day care. You can try to schedule an appointment, but good luck with that. You are better walking in and waiting the two to three hours to see a doctor. Nonetheless, this is better than waiting 30 to 45 days for an appointment with your regular Muir Orthopedic doctor while you are in pain.
Pros: Joe is amazing He is friendly, funny and most of all very efficient in diagnosis and recommendation. He even gave me more information than my actual physician. He spends a lot of time with each patient which can be a Con for some people. Remember this is an Urgent Care and although they take appts. sometimes you just have to wait. While this can be frustrating, waiting for him was well worth the wait. They do take walk-ins but be advised that appts take priority. I would think if it's an emergency, one would be referred to the hospital.
My favorite place to go after hours or if you can't get in to see your doctor. I have taken my kids here a few times. Wait times are generally quite short, they listen carefully to what's going on, and take care of you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
