Piyush Aggarwal's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Aggarwal has been amazing. When I was referred to him, I was quickly able to set up an appointment. My surgery was arranged very quickly after that. His staff set everything in motion and made a frightening experience tolerable. Dr. Aggarwal explained everything. After the surgery he was there again with every follow through question and answer. His explanations of the lab findings were also as he had experienced. Discovering you have colon cancer is not a pleasant discovery but with Dr. Aggarwal, I felt I had the best care possible.

A Great surgeon, very skillful. Very thorough, meticulous and of high standards. He chooses the best options for his clients. Great bedside manners. I commend him and absolutely recommend him.

Doctor does not explain things in detail. I had never met him prior to my surgery date then he walked into the room before my procedure and said "So I heard somebody had questions.".... how about yeah.. what the hell are you doing to my body?! Then treats you like he knows it all (like most doctors) and ignores your concerns. He did not even reach out to schedule a follow up visit or check on me until I reached out to his office and demanded one. Then continued to show hostility because I was frustrated with his quality of care. He told me that I could return to work following my procedure If I felt up to it, but when I put pressure on him days later he told me that "I never asked for time off" like sure aren't you the doctor you should be telling me what's good for my health, or at least recommend something. He told me after my surgery when I woke up from anesthesia to stop using a cream then when I mentioned it at my self scheduled follow up visit, he told me that "I'll never heal if I continue to self- medicate" He made me feel uncomfortable and awkward as if I was taking illegal drugs or something... It was ointment.. that you told me stop using while I was high on anesthesia. He asked me questions about which doctor prescribed me which medicine but didn't explain to me why he was so concerned which made me feel more anxious. Now after two weeks off I am back at work work with worsening pain and discomfort, yet he told me after my two weeks were up to take it easy because it could take another 6 weeks to heal properly... which is it 2 weeks or 8 weeks? I don't doubt that this man is a good guy i don't think he was ever purposely cruel to me however his disregard for my health and concerns has been impacting my recovery and mental health surrounding work and whether or not I may have to spend today's 8 hour shift in pain, or slight discomfort or pain free. Black people have long experienced disparity in health care and the quality of care I've received from Dr. Aggarwal has really made me think that this is one of those moments. I work for John Muir and talk to other Rn's and Doctors about my experience and they cannot believe I was back to work within 2 weeks following my procedure especially being that the work we do on my unit is constant, non stop and strenuous. I honestly feel that If was older I would be taken more serious (told I'm young and healthy various times by staff including MD) I also think that if I was a 40 year old white woman named Tiffany he would of taken my concerns and treatment more seriously. Yet again I find myself sitting here hopeless and with worsened anxiety due to the care provided. Very disappointed with a doctor from not only a hospital that I've been with since birth but one that I work for as well.

This man is incredible. His bedside manner is awesome. He literally saved my life as I was misdiagnosed by another doctor. He took the time to explain in detail what was going on at the time and what needed to be done. I cannot thank him enough for getting me back up on my feet!

Dr. Aggarwal one of the best most professional Doctors and Surgeon I have been to. I felt comfortable with my life in his hands!! Outcome was better than I could have expected.
