List of United Medical Imaging Of West Covina's Reviews
it's very difficult to make an appointment here... i tried calling as soon as they opened, not possible, then late morning 10-11, phone said it was disconnected. only time i got through was 2-5 pm. once i got through they were really helpful in setting up the appointment. leaving a message isn't helpful, tip of advice, just call until you get to someone. they never called me back when i left voicemails. the front desk can be nice, depends on who is working honestly. everyone was extremely sweet when i came for my appointment. my radiologist was amazing, she was extremely professional, helpful and caring. she communicated everything we were going to do and how we were going to do it. even though she wasn't allowed to tell me what she was seeing, she made sure to ask me where i felt certain things to ensure she was getting pictures. i'm excited to get my results and hope my doctor and i can finally start treatment :-) overall, scheduling department is hard to get through to, but if you call at certain times on certain days it'll work. unfortunate they don't call back. the actual imaging is great, they're sweet and professional, and check in was a breeze!
They never answer their phones and when u leave a message they never return it!!! They need people who want to work!!!
This place is always quick. The staff in the reception area are nice. But I feel bad for the girls as they are working super hard to get everything done on a timely manner. But seriously only so much they can do! They need to hirer more people to help them. The phone lines are ALWAYS BUSY! I'm sure they would appreciate more help. 20 plus people and walk ins in the lobby and only 2 receptionist at the desk. Please try and get more help for these nice girls.
Would have to say that if you are referred to this place ask to see if you can go to another imaging facility. First of all, forget calling by phone to make an appointment. For two weeks I kept calling and no one would answer the phone, no matter what option I chose. So the recording wants you to leave a message... but each time I go to the messaging option, it said that the message box was full. So what do I do? I finally ended up having to drive over there about 25 miles out of my way to see if I can make an appointment in person. Person told me that I had to sign in, said to her that I just need to make an appointment because I can't get through by phone... she told me I still needed to sign in, ended up waiting 45 minutes just to make an appointment...during this 45 minutes the same person who told me I had to sign in was the same one who I had to go through to make the appointment for me. But the odd thing was...during this 45 minutes of waiting she was just sitting there or going around cleaning the pens people use to sign in with and yapping with the others behind the counter, instead of helping me.Fast forward... I finally had my imaging done to check for possible cancer, was told by the tech that my doctor will have the report in 2-3 days. About 2 weeks later, doctor said the report hasn't come in yet and asked if I had gone in for my imaging since my appointment is coming up. Again, I tried calling, but can't get through. So again, I go in person... But was told that my scan "has not been finalized." Professional lingo for, no one has gotten to it, yet.It is hard to believe and unacceptable that I am coming in for a scan with a major concern that it may be cancer, yet the facility is having a, "we will get to it whenever", approach.
This place is not good. They don't answer phone calls because according to them they have so many calls and then when I go there, it took me a little over an hour to make my appointment.
Been trying to reach them for 3 months and when I finally got a hold of someone they can't find my authorization!! Then call again and the leg work for them and had it sent over and the lines are disconnected Stupidity I tell yah!! Make up your mind you either want business or don't!! Not going
I called 3 different days, no one answered the phone. Left messages. No call back. I finally got through but they want a picture of the authorization not just the auth number. But it was faxed by the md office. They need date and time it was faxed. Too much of a hassle just to schedule.
I went to UMI in immense pain for an X-ray, desperate to know what happened to my back, and finally I was called in from the waiting room for my X-ray. I handed them the prescription, and because my chiropractor had misheard me, it said "mid back, lower back." I explained to the staff that the pain was really in my upper back. They refused to give me an X-ray of my upper back because it wasn't in the prescription.I completely respect the rules of hospitals sticking to prescriptions for reasons that make sense; if my prescription says medication X, getting medication Y would be a disaster. In this case, however, there was no possible consequence for giving me an upper back X-ray; clearly the chiropractor had just made a small mistake. Tell me, what liability could arise, what could possibly go wrong if they just gave me the upper back X-ray? The technicality of it needing to be on the prescription is completely irrelevant here. Do they really think someone would sue the facility for giving me an upper back X-ray instead of a lower back X-ray? They aren't even the people in charge of diagnosing me... the WORST case scenario would be the doctor making the correction for me a day later. Because the chiropractor was not available at the time to contact, I had to leave the facility with no progress after all the pain it caused my back to drive an hour all the way there. No one cared to hear me out. I was just another number to them.I once had a worker at Nordstrom refuse to use my credit card because the credit card said "Jamie Lawlor" and my ID said "Jamie Robert Lawlor." As much as I tried to explain to him that I simply didn't input my middle name when I registered for the card, he "followed his rules" that the name had to match exactly. I asked him if he really thought it was possible I was committing fraud with a card I stole from someone with the exact same first and last name as me, and he said "I don't make the rules." This robotic, idiotic, blind adherence to rules with no acknowledgement for the basic dynamics of common sense exceptions is precisely why this problem occurred with me at UMI. If I had a worker with more experience helping me, they would have had no problem just giving me the upper back X-ray because they'd be smart enough to know there's no possible chance of any issue arising from it.
This facility has terrible service!! I have been trying to book an appointment for about three weeks now. My doctor recommended for me to have an ultrasound of my breast because of results form my mammogram. They do not answer the phone I have left about 4 messages for them to call me back to book the appointment I finally got fed up and went in person to try and book an appointment well they did even attempt to make an appointment right there and then. All they did was take my name and number and said they would call me in a couple of days at the latest to book the appointment here we are 3/22/22 and still have not received an call from them or any calls I have left on their general voicemails as well. Terrible!!!! I use to think this place was professional I'm not sure what happened to this place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
