List of David Z. Schreier's Reviews
Schreier lied to me about the surgery, he leaned into an option that was better for him, worse for me.Staff at the surgical center said his office was awful, believe them. After I corrected several errors at the surgical center, his office still hadn't fixed it.Angela is a complete nightmare, screwed up my phone number, name, and type of surgery on the paperwork and grew extremely hostile when confronted about it. "We don't use email" she says. She threatened to cancel my surgery if I didn't go get blood work that couldn't get because the paperwork had NOT YET ARRIVED via mail. She magically gained the ability to email it to me.I said I cannot take opioids, they make me sick, so Scherier said "he didn't want any prescription paid medicine" to my girlfriend who inquired about post op care. Of course I needed meds I was in hell after surgery. They (Angela) lied to me and said tramadol wasn't an opioid, prescribed me opioids when I asked them not to, got sick.A nurse called me today and got the date of my surgery wrong, said I shouldn't be feeling pain still, and that I should come in. She'd call me back around 2.Calls me at 2:48 PM and says "are you on your way???"Denied that she said she'd call me back to confirm.Got to today's meeting with Scherier and he basically says "I'm sorry you feel that way" and proceeded to tell me I was "nitpicking" when I criticized the way everything had happened.
It has taken me 6 years to write this. To make a long story short . I had breast cancer. The day of my first surgery my j wire was placed in the wrong place. Dr. Schreier knew this and still went forward with my surgery removing only healthy breast tissue. A surgery that was supposed to only take a hour took almost 3 because he removed so much healthy normal breast tissue. He lead me to believe that it was the radiologist fault but in all actuality he should have canceled surgery or had the j wire replaced. I gave him 3 stars for completing the surgery when I went back the second time and removing the cancer. The first surgery caused severe PTSD and anxiety for which lasted 6 years. I cannot recommend him as a surgeon.
The only reason I gave this Dr one star is because he accepted my insurance. This Dr's office staff is rude but it doesn't come close to the rudeness I received from the Dr Schreier He was fine before my surgery, and once my surgery was over and I had to go in for post op checks he was so rude. I had to go in a lot because of infection and bleeding. He didn't want to help me he just sent me to my primary Dr. If I had to do it again I would not see that poor excuse of a compassionate doctor.
Dr Schrier is an amazing doctor, amazing surgeon. He is very professional kind and personal! I was scheduled for a last minute gallbladder removal surgery and he came to speak to me about it before, even drew a picture for me and he came to check up on me afterwards. He made me feel safe. He definitely knows what he's doing. I went to the ER Monday evening and had surgery Tuesday afternoon😊
Dr. Schreier performed a triple hernia repair on me. He, his office staff, and his surgical team were all exemplary. Any post surgery questions or concerns I had were addressed and handled promptly with care and understanding. Im so incredibly happy I chose him and his skills to fix these. I put it off for way to long ( 5+ years ) and one of the inguinal's (the only one I thought I had) had gotten fairly large, I was very concerned it would be a difficult repair and I believe it was. I live an active outdoor life and Im super happy with the recovery and results. Before being seen by Dr. Schreier, I went to and met 1/2 a dozen other surgeons and was either uncomfortable with them, their methods and/or their office environment. I knew I was probably in the right place the moment I walked in this office and was absolutely positive once I met Dr. Schreier. He was the only Dr. to even notice and show me that I had the two other hernias !
Dr. Shreier is a miracle worker. He absolutely saved my fathers life!!! My 86 year old dad with multiple medical conditions had a complicated small bowel loop that went necrotic, he used a robot to go in and dissect the dead bowel and reattach the health tissue. I will forever be in his debt 💯 with all my heart THANK YOU

He's a fucking asshole. He has no manners, no respect, and no regards to people's feelings. I would love for someone to talk to him the way he talks to his nurses at west hill hospital. Hope retirement is soon for this old bag.
Fantastic, no fear nor hesitation. Back n’ action. Do it!
Dr schreier is amazing! He did an amazing job on my hernia surgery years ago. My scar is barely visible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
