Dr. Ament saved my life and restored my quality of life! I had bilateral issues with my arms/wrists/hands for years, and by the time I saw Dr. Ament, I could not hold a pen longer than a couple seconds, and was in constant pain. I had been seeing an Acupuncturist/Chiro/Herbalist, and his treatment offered some relief - until it didn't (although I love my acupuncturist). I saw a medical doctor, who prescribed a cervical MRI. Initially I thought he was crazy, since the issue was in the arms not neck. But, I had the MRI, and the results were scary. The doctor that prescribed MRI advised me to immediately limit my driving and get to an orthopedic surgeon ASAP. I saw an ortho, he advised me he didn't perform cervical surgeries, and referred me to a Neuro. The neuro prescribed PT and epidural injections. I elected to attempt the PT, but declined the injection; and realized the PT really didn't offer any relief. I was advised that surgery was the only option to correct the issue; however, there were risk concerning the surgery and provided 50/50 odds of becoming paralyzed. I secured a second opinion and was told the same. With those odds, I was not willing to undergo any surgery. After being advised of the above, and still trying to get relief through PT and home stretching machine (decompression I believe it's called), I saw my Ophthalmologist who strongly suggested I see Dr. Ament. Additionally, I met someone inside the PT facility who also mentioned looking into the Disc Replacement Surgery, and provided me with Dr. Aments' name. I reached out to Dr. Ament, (during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic) and although I knew immediately I was in good hands, there was a pandemic. Dr. Ament could tell I was scared. I told him of everything I had attempted, the doctors I had seen, and the odds I was given by the other Neuro surgeons. He assured me that would not be the case with a disc replacement. He explained the procedure, and put my mind at ease, along with my husbands. We scheduled the surgery, I went into the hospital that morning, and I was in my own bed recovering by the afternoon. The surgery was a success! Thank you Dr. Ament for your dedication, thoughtfulness and compassion, and for going above and beyond. I was very blessed to have been referred to him by two individuals who a trust, and to have him has my surgeon/doctor.

Excellence in performance and outcomes. Thorough and accurate in all aspects of procedures and outcomes. Expertise...Expertise...Expertise!! Completely devoted to the patient in managing from start to finish. The staff and Doctors ( Dr. Ament) are kind, patience and extremely expertise. My quality of life is now back to normal. I went through major spinal cord and nerve damage surgery. Recovery was administered with accuracy, kindness and compassion. Recovery was through with great results. I have a great quality of life now! If you require this type of surgery, this is the Doctor to visit. With the diagnosis I received...Putting it of any longer would have been at my peril.

I am a senior citizen, and in all my years, have never experienced a doctor as conscientious, patient, compassionate, and personable. When you are finished with your evaluation and procedure, you will feel as though you found a new best friend! Plus you are pain free.

Very friendly and informative Doctor who takes the time to explain the diagnosis and really seems to care. Certainly knows his craft very well. Would highly recommend.

The Surgeon was very attentive. He had experience with my problem and had confidence that he could help me. I’m looking forward to my problem getting solved. Wait time was too long, 45 mins. Ugh

Dr. Vokshoor did a fix on my L4-L5, an area that almost had me unable to live my life. I couldn’t pick up my grandson and that was the worst part. I met Dr. Vokshoor, he looked at my MRI, knew immediately what was going on with my spine, and I scheduled my surgery. The surgery process was streamlined and I never felt much pain while I was at the hospital. When I got home, I experienced a lot of pain! But when I spoke to Dr. Vokshoor, he told me that my nerves that had been pinched before had to repair themselves and it might take some time. It’s been 8 days and I am getting around great though my nerves still hurt sometimes down my legs but they will fix themselves. I’ve actually overdone it because it feels so much better and I should have taken it easy but I hadn’t had the ability to get around without horrible pain for a long time and I wanted to do normal again. Dr. Vokshoor was a wonderful surgeon, he made me feel safe about the surgery and now I’m worlds better. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I've had 3 different spine surgeries with Dr Ament [1 Fusion, and 2 artificial disks]. My experiences with him and his staff have been great. His surgical skills are excellent. He shows a genuine concern for his patients. I highly recommend him! Dr. Gary R. White

Great group. Receptionist either answers the phone or calls back promptly. Dr. Ament took time to discuss my problems and options available to me. Strongly recommend!
