List of William A. Rumack's Reviews
Had shoulder pain which was lingering for a few months. He figured out the problem and help me remediate the problem without the use of surgery.
Dr. Rumack has treated practically my entire family. We are grateful to have such a great, honest and kind doctor so close to our home.
Dr Rumack has been treating my broken wrist. I’m well on the road to recovery. He followed my recovery very closely through frequent Xrays in order to assess healing. He recasted the arm as necessary to ensure proper bone alignment, midway through the process. He and his staff are knowledgeable and very caring. I’m grateful that they have been my expert partners in my healing and highly recommend. ...
I had knee arthroscopy performed by Dr. Rumack for knee pain, which made my knee pain much worse then before. I came to learn through research on my own that arthroscopic surgery for knee pain is no longer considered the thing to do and that it's only recommended when there is a specific traumatic injury, such as a tendon tear, etc. This was also confirmed by another doctor who said he would not have done surgery on me when I sought help from him after my surgery due to my worse condition. In addition to worse pain, my knee feels more unstable than before. The knee cap pops in a creepy way if I flex my knee too tight. Dr. Rumack should not have recommended and performed surgery on me based on my medical symptoms and history. He was using obsolete diagnostic and treatment information that is not the current protocol any longer in the orthopedic surgical field. It's unfortunate that I discovered this after I decided to let him do surgery.

I came to learn through research on my own that arthroscopic surgery for knee pain is no longer considered the thing to do and that it's only recommended when there is a specific traumatic injury, such as a tendon or acute meniscus tear, etc. This was also confirmed by another doctor afterward, who said he would not have done surgery on me when I sought help from him due to my worse condition post-operative. In addition to worse pain, my knee feels more unstable than before. The knee cap pops in a creepy way if I extend my knee too straight. Dr. Rumack should not have recommended and performed surgery on me based on my medical symptoms and history. He was using obsolete diagnostic and treatment information that is not the current protocol in the orthopedic surgical field. It's unfortunate that I discovered this after I decided to let him do surgery. On a side note, his operative report was written horribly. I know that good doctors don't necessarily need to be good writers but it honestly seemed like an elementary school child wrote the report. Bottom line, Dr. Rumack is a mediocre doctor at best that doesn't employ the latest information in his field in his practice. This was 9 years ago so hopefully he's all caught up by now. But I recommend you go somewhere else.
I went to see Dr. Rumack for a knee pain, which was happening only when I would put my leg in a certain position as well as when going downstairs. Neither X-Ray no MRI revealed anything specific, so we decided to go for "exploratory" surgery. Dr. Rumack found what appeared to be a lose piece of cartridge, which he scraped off. He showed me the pictures taken during the surgery. Initially after the surgery I still had pain and thought that the effort failed, but apparently these things take time to heal. After about 3 months or so I was pain free. Thank you, Dr. Rumack!
My daughter, her mother, and I have seen Dr. Rumack and his colleagues for the past few years for various things. We have been more than happy and pleased with the doctor's and staff's care! They are attentive, punctual, and have a great bedside manner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
