I was assigned to Dr Chukumerije after a hospital visit for chest pains. He has been very attentive in listening to my concerns and upon reviewing my medical records, he came up with a comprehensive plan to address the major issues! He's awesome!!!
I've been under the care of Dr. Chukumerije since 2021. I've suffered from extremely high cholesterol levels most of my life which has contributed to some heart disease. After having chest pains which sent me to the hospital, I was assigned to have a complete cardiac workup with Dr. Chukumerije. My initial visit with Dr. Chukumerije was very comprehensive and professional & patient. He had already reviewed my hospital records and listened to my concerns, then came up with a medical plan to help resolve some of the issues. Dr. Chukumerije is awesome!!!!
In the beginning, I thought this doctor was reliable and knowledgeable. First, he dismissed everything my previous Cardiologist advice and took all the medications from me, even the Cholesterol medications even though I suffer from high cholesterol. He also told me to stop taking Aspirin and statins. As a result of that, my cholesterol spiked and my general Doctor immediately put me back on cholesterol medicine. I have been feeling bad palpitations and lack of air, since heart disease has been in my family, I went to see him again. He ordered a heart monitor patch called Ziopatch but when I was about to put it on, I received a call from his office asking me not to do it because the insurance wouldn't approve it. So, instead, he put me a holter for 48 hours and they told me that this was just so the insurance would approve the Ziopatch. I don't know how would they know in only 48 hours if there are going to be bad palpitations since I don't feel them all the time, only once in

So, instead, he put me a holter for 48 hours and they told me that this was just so the insurance would approve the Ziopatch. I don't know how would they know in only 48 hours if there are going to be bad palpitations since I don't feel them all the time, only once in a while. So, after returning the holter, I asked them when would they give me the Ziopatch again and the reply was that the doctor thinks there's nothing wrong with my palpitations and that I don't need this anymore. So, they changed their mind and I am now feeling scared about these palpitations that sometimes wake me up at night. I contacted them and after they insisted that the doctor didn't want to put the patch anymore, I told them that I need all the notes and the test that they made because I am going to go to another cardiologist. I also told them that I didn't think they were taking my health seriously. All this time I had been messaging back and forth with assistants and different people. But after my last message, Dr. Chukumerije wrote me and very rudely wrote "...do not in any way ever insult me or my team by implying that we have not taken you nor your care seriously." I so regret having dropped my medications after this doctor gave me this advice and will immediately look for a serious Cardiologist to take care of my help. This is simply outrageous! DON'T go here, you will be treated badly and this doctor will make you feel inferior and stupid. I can't believe that Cedars Sinai allows something like this!
This was my first visit to a cardiologist and I could not have been more impressed with Dr. Chukumerije. He took his time with me and listened intently as I explained my symptoms and observations. By the time the appointment was over, we had come up with a plan which addresses all of my concerns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
