Excellent
I have seen Dr Walter Lech at that clinic from the beginning. I cant tell anything about his professionalism but definetly the attitude I was treated with is more then just upsetting. I came for an Ultrasound after my procedure on both legs after about a month after the surgery. Instead of Ultrosound I was put on the table for the second round of injections. I refused to do injections without ultrasound scheduled which was I came for one month post treatment. They said that I was mistaken and I need to do injections first and than do Ultrosound. It didnt make sense to me and I didnt want to do the injections without seeing what he going on with my veins one month after the surgery. The system allowed to put me in Ultrosound only anout another month after that about 2 month from procedure. Dr Lech said there is nothing he can do with the system. After I came at that appointment there was another system error and he said again that he cant see me for Ultrosound and there is nothing he can do. The procedure on both legs was around August 10 and 16. And till the middle of October I still didnt have my Ultrosound done for 1 month follow up after the surgery on both legs. In the end of October I went to some vacuum massage on my legs for cellulite and started and I started having pain in my veins. I was recommended to be seen by a doctor and Ultrosound to be done to make sure I am not having any problem. I called to see who can see me right away and Dr Lech didnt have any availability until next week. I went to see to another doctor of that clinic in Glendale. He has seen me but didnt do full diagnostic and said that I have to go back to the doctor who is treating me. It was a complete disaster with all that experience. A few month after I started having pain in the legs again and went for an appointment to Dr Lech. He was rude and said he doesnt have to see me I can go and see any doctor I want elsewhere. I believe it all has to be handled with a higher managment. Thankfully I was scheduled to see doctor in Glendale again but have to bring it to higher managment attention how patients are being treated. Rude and inconsiderate. I have wasted a lot of important time and possibly been at serious risk dealing with all those appointments waiting for them and driving there without important Ultrosound study done. I was sent away without getting any care and frankly feel mistreated abused and humaliated.
I have been to Glendale Vein Clinic at 800 Central Ave in Glendale and also to the West Hollywood location. While everyone here seemed very nice I must say that I am sorry I ever came here. I went in with a Groupon for treatment of spider veins and they do their complimentary ultrasound first. Then they tell you you have venous reflux and the doctor explains that he can help that with a procedure called EVLT whereby the damaged veins are destroyed. He also told me that having this procedure would help in preventing formation of new spider veins. Please Get a second opinion before you have any EVLT done at this office it may not be necessary at all. Just because your veins show reflux that does not mean that you absolutely need EVLT especially if you have no symptoms like me. They should not have done the EVLT on me and it has cost me much time $$ discomfort and anxiety. After the EVLT done by the doctor here my legs look and feel much worse than they did before I went to his office. Furthermore each time I told him of the discomfort he I had due to the veins that compensated for the ones he unnecessarily destroyed he mocked me by by denying my discomfort and asserting that I was complaining of appearance only. He repeatedly insisted that ...those veins dont cause pain.. And just how would he know what my legs feel like to me ? He never walked in them In my opinion Doctor Kumar is a heartless and uncompassionate doctor who cares about making cash for his pocket not comfort for his patientsI had a lot of problems getting everything covered by insurance because the office basically lied to me and said everything had been approved by my insurance. Just imagine how it felt to be in worse shape and in pain and constant discomfort and find out months later that i was even being asked to pay out of pocket Do yourself a favor and go see another doctor I found another Doctor at Vena Vascular for a second opinion and not only did he listen to all my complaints of discomfort he did the ultrasound on my legs himself and validated all of it. He also explained everything with great patience to me and will resolve my discomfort issues with much simpler less painful and less costly procedure which will be covered by my insurance.
DO NOT GO HERE. Its a scam. They approved my insurance then told me that it doesnt complete the procedure after I started. They paid $17900 for one leg DO NOT GO HERE
Oh man this place.. They all speak Russian or Armenian and no one greets you. I waited for ever while they were just talking and watching videos on someones phone.. I asked if I could be seen soon? Finally I got in and was escorted to a room that was being renovated so it was so messy and stuff everywhere. The Dr was professional but the treatment didnt help at all. And after being poked like 25 times that kinda sucks but whatever I bought it on group on. Then now like 15 year later they bill me $850 What is this place??
I first came here because I have had several spider vein treatments in another town over the last 10 years so know the procedure and saw a Groupon. I have been back three times. I love both doctors. Dr Walter Lech especially has spent a lot of time explaining and discussing the treatment and what option I have for a particular larger vein that will need more attention. He is just the more talkative one. Ha. He couldnt have been more knowledgeable or thoughtful in his information and patient interaction. He was trained at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center really the finest hospital anywhere and renowned for their Harvard Medical School affiliation and physician training. I lived in Boston for 23 years and was a previous VP of a department there. I felt very secure in the Medical approach. Interestingly my youngest sister living in San Diego went to the top vein guy in Dan Diego for spider veins in November and ended up with a terrible situation in one leg. The injection was not done correctly and instead injected under the skin not in the vein and she has had months of sharp pain swelling of her ankles and ulcers around the incision. Its getting better now but bad experience The physician was quite nonchalant about it all. I feel that Dr Lech and his partner not only dont create those situations but they openly discuss with the patient any risks and you are an open participant in the procedure and aftercare etc. Every patient gets their attention and quality medical procedure. I feel like I came across a lucky find and couldnt be happier. They have taken over this clinic and building it back up. Feel confident that you are in good hands.
My diagnosis was venous insufficiency. had no idea what it meant until Dr. Kumar explained everything to me. good results so far. will update my review after some time.
I got results in 20 minutes. I have had an increasing problem with varicose veins swelling and the fear that I might end up in a wheelchair or worse and not be able to care for my children.Fear drove me to USA Vein Clinics. Satisfaction with the results and the attitude of all of the staff will keep me singing their praises.
This place is so sub par. Its like a clinic in a 3rd world country. From the front office staff to Dr Kumar its just not deserving of the West LA status. Its a dirty dark hole in the wall and the service is horrible. The doctor acted like he didnt even want to treat my spider veins. He didnt want to give normal information that a customer would ask like how much will it cost and how will you treat all of my effected areas He seemed annoyed that I wanted to treat it for cosmetic reasons. It was honestly very strange. I am so happy I didnt pre pay because I will never ever go back.
In my opinion this place is a total rip off. I had a sclerotherapy treatment on a large crop of spider veins a couple of yrs ago at a different place with a groupon and went ONE time and it was a total success. Two months ago I went to USA Vein and they spent so much time taking pics of my veins and then the dr. came in and repeatedly explained that I may have to return several times for my spider veins which were so small I really wasnt concerned. Well I had 4 small areas worked on. They sold me $60 leg compressions which I wasnt prepared for. The first place I went to wrapped my leg and provided the compression. I wore those things for a week when I realized that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING had been done to my spider veins. They didnt inject me at all.....they just went through the motions. No improvement They are exactly the same DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
