List of George M. Rajacich's Reviews
Long time patient. Dr Rajacich is the best. Excellent care. Caring staff.
Dr. Rajacich may be a good doctor, but I will never know because I've had had enough of his office. He recommended laser adjustment after cataract surgery butI could not get an appointment. I had called hisoffice many times; the person in charge was always not available and did not return my messages. I had gone twice to the office in person to get an appointment, but the only person in charge was still not available and still did not respond to my messages. Forget about the doctor--he was definitely never available to respond to my messages; maybe, he never got them. I had written a letter to him; he never acknowledged receipt of it. Three months later I gave up on Dr. Rajacich and his non-responsive office and asked to release my medical recods so that I can take them to another doctor. More than one month has passed, and I still haven't gotten it. Meanwhile, my vision keeps getting worse. As an aside, just a few days ago, I did got a call to schedule the awaited date for laser adjustment. Had made an appointment to pick up the paperwork. After 30 minutes of waiting just for paperwork, I walked out. Could this office respond promptly to you? Possibly, but do you want to risk an experience similar to mine?
Excellent care. Full service care. Responsive staff.
Dr. Rajacich refuses to own up to his mistakes or call his patient: I’ve never written a negative review before - but need to warn my neighbors. Dr. Rajacich performed Cataract Surgery on my wife on August 5, 2020. The result was months of emotional and physical trauma due to his multiple missteps and errors in judgement which led to her extreme visual disorientation. A total lack of patient education was provided on lens options. Due to a weak left eye, my wife was NOT a good candidate for a panoptic lens; it failed completely. Plus, the WRONG replacement lens strength was implanted. The surgical center was very sub-par, crowded, filled with unorganized junk. An “old school” incision technique (out of favor for decades) was used. Four weeks after surgery, he left her with no hope by saying “I don’t know what’s wrong, and I don’t know what to do. Something might be wrong with your brain.” His retinal specialist performed a fluorescein-angiography with injected dye and declared that nothing was wrong. However, it turns out his antiquated equipment failed to detect swelling of her left retina, and therefore she was NOT offered a prescription of NSAID drops to reduce swelling. Despite her inability to read or drive, along with feeling highly disoriented and hopeless, she was told to wait four more months to see if her brain could adjust to the new lens. This was bad medical advice. Five weeks after the failed surgery, my wife went to see another ophthalmologist. Yet Dr. Rajacich's staff refused to send over her medical records - violating her patient rights. The new cataract center in Westwood used state-of-the-art tools to provide clear, accurate pictures of her retinal swelling and uneven optic nerves. What ten visits with three ophthalmologists under Dr. Rajacich’s supervision (over the course of five weeks) could not do, one visit at the new office was able to accomplish, with compassion and competence, enabling her nightmarish experience to finally begin to resolve. My wife placed multiple phone calls to reach Dr. Rajacich, asking for a simple conversation (after being his patient for many years), yet he “hid” behind his office staff and refused to speak to his patient after wreaking havoc in her life over three months. Conclusion: DO NOT TRUST this doctor for your cataract surgery. Go elsewhere.

Dr Rajacich did my cataract surgery April 2018. The results are better than I could have ever imagined. My vision is better in my left eye ( the one that was done) than it has ever been.
Dr. Rajacich did my catarac surgery years ago, and he was a total professional. I wish every doctor I've ever gone to was as good as he is. I tell everybody I know about him :-)
I have known Dr. Rajacich for several years. He is the best, so caring and I think the best at what he does. Such a kind gentle person.
I just read other reviews about Dr. Rajacich and want to add mine. Yes, his wait time used to be long - but, in my experience, most doctors have wait time of, at least, 30 minutes - his was longer but I think he is worth it because I find him to be an outstanding doctor and surgeon with a well-trained and courteous staff. I have noticed that in the last year, he has cut down his wait time so he is apparently trying to respond to criticism in this regard by working to reduce his wait time.
Dr. Rajacich, working with Dr. John Darin, recommended cataract surgery that was not immediately necessary and implanted a multi-focal lens that was supposed to provide good near and distance vision. The lenns provided neiither and in order to function I am constantly changing glasses. They charged $3200 for thids lens, others charge $800. I obtained a second opinion from two other doctors who both said the lens was inappropriate. Dr. Rajacich refuses to consult with the second opinion doctors or offer a rebate. After a dozen visits my average time in the office was two and a half hours. I've spent over a grand this year on glasses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
