Houman Vosoghi's Online Review Report Card

This doctor is a highly skilled glaucoma specialist. He took wonderful care of my eyes, and really cares about each of his patients. I will be moving out of the area, and will miss the care of this excellent doctor. He also took the time to find me another specialist in the area I am moving to.

Dr Vosoghi’s business practices are in my opinion unethical. After making an appointment for cataract surgery, the business manager informed us that we would want to upgrade our surgery to either a $2,000 or $4,000 additional cost surgery. It was difficult to pin her down on exactly why we needed this upgrade, but I left there feeling lied to. After calling around to other Doctors, I was told this was not necessary, and that the cost of cataract surgery should be done without the upgrade, and covered in full by Medicare, at no further cost. I believe Vosoghi was telling patients this surgery was necessary to make more money off Medicare patients

Dr. V is the bomb. Been a patient of his fr many years now and have followed him when he changed offices. He is great, caring, conscientious.

I have Thyroid Eye and have had doctors from OHSU and Joel Stein Institute all recommend plastic surgery to fix a condition I've had for 5 years now with my right eye being very swollen. In one Visit Dr. Vosoghi reviewed my eye and recommended medicine to reduce the swelling. He is professional, kind and very knowledgeable and I consider him to be one of the best eye doctors I've ever met. Thank you Doctor Vosoghi for everything you have done!

I've been seeing Dr. Vosoghi for several years to treat my glaucoma. He is very expert in this area and I trust him completely. Lately he seems a little more pressed for time but he is always willing to answer questions.

I have been going to dr. Vosoghi for over a year after my brain surgery . which included a tumor which was removed from my left optical nerve.  Since then I have always had a great experience with the staff we laugh every time I came. Dr. Vosoghi and I never had any problems.  I have NEVER had any type of interaction offensive and bullying or disrespectful from any staff towards me until 8/22/19 and 8/26/19 from a person name Jose who claims to be the Office Manager. That fact that I have been a patience for over a year and a half and I have never seen this guy.  decided to be disrespectful to me over the phone on 8/22/19 when I spoke to him about why I haven't got a call in over two months regarding My referral? This same situation happened before regarding a different referral.  Dr, Vosoghi had someone handled it. He even apologized for the office NOT calling me before now to let me know who and where I am to go.  Fast forward to little JOSE the "office manager" he had the audacity to tell me over the phone on 8/22/19 first time ever talking with him "that it was my job to call my insurance company and get my own referral to a orbital specialist and that no one there has to call me" I said to him are you kidding? since when do a patience go directly to the insurance requesting a specialist blah blah blah without a doctor saying that I need a referral for a different doctor.  I then asked to speak to my doctor and he told me he was NOT letting me talk to my doctor nor was he letting me speak to anyone else there.  I just hung the phone up and called the office right back to made an appointment to see my doctor, because I was still having pain, with repeat visits to the ER and still have not got a call with my referral to the specialist etc from his office and Jose the office manager offered no apologize and nothing but rudeness and inconsiderate content out of his mouth. I did let Jose know I was going to tell Dr. Vosoghi how displeased I was with him on the phone. Jose whole plot at this point was to bully me and blocked me from exposing him to Dr. Doughty and Dr. Vosoghi. He refused to rely a message and denied to transfer my call to the doctor.  After I threatened to tell the doctor of his lack of compassion and the disregard and disrespect to me and Dr. Vosoghi's order for them to prepare the request for the referral and to call me once it's done Mister Jose has someone else call me back the same day all of this took place with the referral doctor name and number.  It's amazing how the information was at the office once again just sitting there with no call to me the patient as if the patient (me) have ESP or physic to know.    Jose is NOT a good representative of the practice or as a medical office manager simple based on how he treats a patient who the doctor has been seeing for over a year and getting paid by my insurance company to do so.. On 8/26/19  I get a call from Dr. Doughty office and it was JOSE, telling me I don't need to see Dr. Vosoghi anymore since I have the referral for the other doctor.  He not knowing I seen the specialist and he told me to keep my appointment with Dr. Vosoghi 8/27/19 let him know what he will be doing for me and what he can keep treating or seeing me for.  Mainly, giving him the information about the testing he did in his office and his findings to have a joint decision when returning to my next schedule appointment with him with all the records from Dr. Vosoghi.  That was my plan as well as relay how I was treated by JOSE.  But again Jose calls me on the phone trying to tell my that "he has talked to Dr. Vosoghi and that he was told by him to tell me he is NOT seeing me anymore" Of course I didn't believe that because why would a doctor say that to a office manager about his patient when she is schedule to see him and he could let me know that then.  While Jose was on my line trying to block me from coming in afraid of me telling my truth about what happened. I got another call coming in from Dr. Vosoghi's office I simple click over while Jose was still talking.  The Guy called to confirm my appointment with Dr. Vosoghi tomorrow, which I confirmed and clicked back over to JOSE lying.  I told him why would the doctor not see me when that was the office on the other line confirming my appointment.  I left my house to the office to inform the Doctor of JOSE and what he was doing. When I got there JOSE was waiting and denied anyone else to talk to me in the office and said Vosoghi left and called the police to have me leave when no one was threatened.  Everyone who knew me was talking to me and he told them to go to the back and not talk to me.  I was completely mortified upset and I felt attacked it got me so sick and caused my blood pressure to sky rocket. I have been sick and still ill from the whole ordeal I will be taking actions against Jose after becoming ill, losing sleep, stressed and mortified from this.  If Dr. Vosoghi agreed to this treatment I am?

Dr Vosoghi and his staff are fantastic. Extremely polite and professional. I can't say enough aboutThe outstanding care I have received since I've become a patient.I must also mention Marlin & Maria who are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Dr. V. Is kind, caring, and honest. He doesn’t waste time with unnecessary tests or procedures; but rather, gets down to business. If he can’t find the answer, he has no problem referring out. He’s also very picky about to whom he sends his patients. I feel very comfortable and confident with him as my doc.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vosoghi for a number of years.  He treats me for my glaucoma.  I have the best doctors in all of my care.  He has been one of the most informative, kind and patient doctor that I have been to.  I highly recommend him.
