List of John Darin's Reviews
I have been a patient of Dr. Darin's for many years. He is a thoroughly professional and skilled practitioner. Office staff is efficient and friendly. I highly recommend this clinic.
Dr. Darin himself was great, the remaining staff especially those at the front desk leave something to be desired. Without a doubt the worst customer service and patient care I have experienced.
Dr. Darin was really thorough and great. Front office staff has bad service. My first visit was without an appointment, the second visit was with an appointment - I waited 45 minutes both times. The women up front should be more thoughtful when it comes to new patients.
Great first impression with phone call in scheduling an eye exam who comes highly recommended by my mother. Keeping in mind Dr. Darin is an Ophthalmologist, Perla was very helpful in answering questions and recommended a consultation meeting.
Doctor Darin's office caters to elderly people and has been here for many many years. The quality of service is good and the staff are humdrum competent. The technology they use is antiquated for your eye
I lovee Darin eye center. It's a beautiful office and great people all around I would recommend Dr Darin to everybody. Everyone at the front deck is very polite and sweet! it's just a great atmosphere.
Dishonest office practices. I specifically called prior to my appointment to find out if the office took my insurance. They assured me that they did. Only to get billed for the eye exam. They stated they only take the "medical" side of my insurance and not the "vision" side. Had I been properly informed I would have gone to a Doctor in my plan. When asked to speak to the the office manager I was given the run around. Until the doctors decide to get a new office staff, I would stay away from this place.
If I could rate this place lower I would. Dr. Darin seems like a nice enough guy and a good doctor. His staff on the other hand is dishonest. I had been coming to Dr. Darin for three years annually. The last time I was there, I expected to pay my $20 co-pay vis VSP. Instead they told me I owed an additional $115. While having my eye exam they used a camera to examine my eyes instead of the usual procedure. I was never given a choice or advised that this could cost me more. When I complained about the additional charge, a darker haired lady at the desk pointed out how I had signed to accept all charges. When I told her I was not told up front about the camera procedure costing more, she said, go ahead and pay it and I will get back with you tomorrow about waiving the charge. She never got back to me, so this year I went to a different doctor. This was dishonesty!
Dr. Darin did my cataract surgery, and his deft touch and confidence together with a great follow up program is much appreciated. I always feel like I'm in good hands.
Dr.Darin is a seasoned and compassionate professional. I had a serious case and he went far and beyond to help me and solve the problem. The staff is fantastic. The place is sparkling clean. I could have lost vision in one eye due to neglect of my previous doctors in Miramar Eye Group if I were not transferred to Dr. Darin and his associates.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
