List of Select Physical Therapy's Reviews
I've been going to Select Bethany for almost 2yrs because of a very complicated knee injury & I couldn't be happier with all the therapist I've gotten to work with.
I absolutely adore Ariel … she is such a professional!!! She provides such an amazing quality of expertise while maintaining such a positive vibe which is so rare in today’s world. I appreciate her so much…. Thank you Ariel!!!
My daughter went there for physical therapy and was checking on her insurance.. but also asked what a direct price would be without insurance. They told us $100 directly or if we use insurance it would be 125 towards our deductible and an office visit.. logically she decided she wanted to just pay $100 and not use the insurance. But the lady there said that once we know you have insurance, we cannot have you pay directly. That is just insane. It’s obvious all they’re trying to do is they know they get more money for the insurance so they tell you, you can’t pay them directly. Obviously, we just went somewhere else, but this is such a scam.
I would not recommend this place they said I was covered under insurance for physical therapy on my foot for a lot longer than I went, now they keep sending me bill after bill. GO ELSEWHERE!!
I was refereed to Select Physical Therapy after an auto accident. The staff was professional and kind. It was a great experience working with Ryan and Summer and I highly recommend Select Physical Therapy.
First off, to charge for the evaluation is bs. If you need a lawyer you don’t pay for the consultation!!! Secondly, they say individual one on one therapist when the therapist has 1-3 patients at a time so basically that’s double dipping the system and corporate greed like the rest of them!! Lastly the overall experience and equipment is much to be desired.
My name is Kenneth Blair (also Known as Alan Morris) I was treated very well by the devoted staff of SPT. After a terrible Bicycle accident requiring Elbow surgery my Surgeon highly recommended SPT to rehabilitate my range of motion and strength to my Right Arm. The Dedicated Therapists guided me thoroughly every step of the way, highly gifted with their craft and caring skills! I felt calm and assured, always. I focus and stayed the course of the routines presented to me. They gave me additional exercises to do on a daily basis. Finally, the journey to achieving 98% regained range of motion & strength in my Right Elbow and Arm was a very great blessing! I am so thankful for all they did for me!
Billing issue!! Received therapy at the Avon CT location. Was told they would “collect $46 for each session” until deductible was met then it would go to $28 coinsurance. They did NOT indicate this was an estimate. Each session I was charged $46. However behind the scene they were adding an additional $56.40/ sessions. There was no communication that the sessions were actually $102.40 until I received a bill. I’m now stuck with a bill for $338 in addition to what I already paid. I called the billing company that they outsource the billing to and was told there was nothing they could do. I spoke to a manager at Select Physical Therapy who said they would look into it, but haven’t heard back for two months despite my reaching out. I recently received notice they will be sending the issue to a collection agency.
I went this week to Select after having wrist pain for 18 months. I was sure they would say it was arthritis and there was nothing they could do, but instead Robert Christakos knew EXACTLY what I was talking about (even having had the same injury himself), described what was going on and why it hurt and how we could fix it. I left there feeling better than I had in more than a year and I have the skills now to continue to working on my injury in my own time. I have never felt so optimistic after any kind of healthcare appointment. It felt like Robert was a miracle worker!
Horrible billing practices. They cannot get their billing correct despite me sending numerous emails, sending EOB statements to them, making calls to customer service. We are going on nearly a year of trying to pay them but they won’t bill us the correct amounts. Easily the worst company I’ve ever done business with. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere unless you want a PT job doing your own accounting for them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
