Vargo Physical Therapy's Online Review Report Card

The staff are friendly and helpful. I would have rated Vargo 5 stars but was uncomfortable that every time I went in there was someone else to help me. Although the exercises were always the sa I felt that other than Evan, who I saw for a few minutes 3 out of my 6 visits but felt he was aware of my progress and made me feel that my success was important to him, I could have skipped the gym and done these exercises at home.

I've been to 4 different PT places over the past several years and this is by far the best. Two of the places I've been to were directly affiliated with UCLA and those were the worst. I really appreciated the collaborative nature and the fact that they actually work on me for an hour every visit. Kevin supervised my treatment and is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Jacob is one of the assistants and he stands out for his enthusiasm and great personality. I also have to mention Evan as he took one of my visits to dig deeper into my knee and did a great job of finding and understanding the issue so Kevin could follow from there and, between the two of them I made incredible progress. Lastly, some people have mentioned billing issues, but I had none of that. Cecilia at the front desk was always great with scheduling appointments and making sure I was charged properly. I hope I never have to go to PT again but if I do I will pick this place without hesitation.

This place is amazing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. You get to know everyone working there, and you feel like they all know you and what you need, After four months my shoulder is better. I can move it all around with ease. Upon finishing I was given a list of exercises and equipment that I could work with at home. On my last day I felt like I was leaving friends. I'll actually miss going to physical therapy. It was a great experience.

The PTs and PTAs are really nice, helpful and knowledgeable. And more helpful in my progression post op than my surgeon (unfortunately) lol whole office is great. 11/10 highly recommend. I'm 4 months out from MPFL reconstruction and I don't think I'd be as far along as I am without them.

Front desk - 1/5. Not knowledgeable and makes mistakes with details such as insurance info, how many sessions were requested, how many can be scheduled at a time. It's all ok, but 1/5 is because the lady at the front desk stated that per my insurance policy and limitations Once I start the treatment and rounds of physical therapy I will need to stick to that particular location of Vargo and only with Vargo. I double checked what I have heard and she confirmed. I called my insurance and asked if this info is true, they denied and were surprised about this. I asked the orthopedics office I was referred from, and they also seemed to be surprised about this. Anyways, it doesn't make sense to be stuck with the office if this end up not being a good fit for your care. The heating pad I have had put on in the beginning of each session smells like mildew. Aides didn't read notes. In August they still had some good stuff but then they went back to school.

The rehab staff is great but unfortunately the experiences with the front desk and billing department were very disappointing and frustrating (enough to call it a day with this facility). My initial complaint (a small one) was that they were charging estimated copays without verifying it with the insurance (I had to show them my EOB to let them know what the proper charge was). Even then, she said the billing department said it was this amount (and was defensive about it) rather than checking directly with the billing dept. More recently, my doctor put in a request for additional visits over a month ago (at Vargo's request) but they sat on it and did not work the insurance in a timely manner. I ended up stopping after 3 unauthorized visits because no authorization came in. For over 3 weeks I would see Aetna showing pending medical documentation from Vargo. I spoke with the front desk a few times about it showing my concern - she was unhelpful/dismissive - had a condescending, "not my problem" attitude rather than working with billing. At her request I reached out to their billing a couple of times but they said they hadn't received anything - come to find that they sat on the insurance's request. I was told to keep going and it will "probably" be covered. I hate to say good bye to this Vargo but I know there are other good rehab facilities out there that are more on top of their front office experience and billing.

I’m very impressed by my experience with Vargo. All of the staff are very knowledgeable and positive. I owe a lot of my recovery to them; both their expertise and collective great energy have been so helpful.

Through the years I have been to other Physical therapy facilities. But nothing compares to Vargo Physical therapy Everyone on the staff is amazing and helpful and very patient. I am recovering from a back injury due to an auto accident. I have seen me getting better because of the excellent care that I am receiving. A shoutout to Kevin, who is amazing. I am so lucky that I have him spearheading my recovery. If anyone is looking for a terrific place for Physical therapy. You can't go anywhere better than Vargo.
