The front desk very disrespectful! The waiting time is very very long, is about 1-2 hours. And the waiting room inside is very small and crowded. Very disappointed experience! Don’t waste your time coming here!

Got my insurance referral for Cataract surgery with Dr. Tran, at first everything seems ok for the checkup office visit and measurements they schedule surgery on Feb., two days before surgery their staff call and said your insurance company does not allow exception for surgical center they have chosen. so, they have to cancel it w/o further explanation saying they will work on it. Never hear back from them, also they mixed up my phone number with another patient; the surgical center keeps calling me for other person's appointment very bad admins.

Dr. Michael Tran and his practice are truly one of the best and affordable in Orange County. Dr. Tran truly cares for his patients and takes time out of his day to get to know you and understand your concerns, to provide the best care possible. His entire team is coordinated and even though they are often times busy, his team continues to help politely until all concerns are addressed. I have received my glasses in a timely manner with regards to my insurance and have been satisfied since. Overall, I am very satisfied and  genuinely would recommend Dr. Michael K Tran's practice to others!

Dr Tran is a good doctor. His office staff however is not. I last saw him in Feb 2021 and had my 6 month return app't set for Aug 10. When I went for the Aug app't I was first asked for a co-pay (which I never paid before) and then told my app't had been changed til Aug 13. When I asked why they changed my app't I was told I had been called and notified. If that were the case why would I have shown up on Aug 10 with my app't card. Finally after 45 minutes the office manager told me if I pay $195 the doctor could see me. I left promptly and never looked back.

My dad was referred by his Optometrist for glaucoma treatment.  Office staff took his insurance info when making app in order to check eligibility, which was fine.  The funny thing was, they ran it through Availity 7 days before his appointment and Availity stated Professional Office Visit Copay less than $60.  As my dad arrived to his appointment, office staff(s) stated they didn't know how much his copay was, therefore they would bill him later; A bill was mailed home and we stopped by the office to pay.  After the initial visit, he was scheduled for another visit 3 months later.  This time around, the office charged him $200+ for office visit for them to conduct the SAME basic eye tests they did previously on the 1st visit.  The tech who conducted the tests was puzzled and asked my dad why are they doing the SAME tests again?  After that tech consulting with Dr., they proceeded on conducting the SAME test they did last visit.  Dr. prescribed med for my dad and sent him home (med should've given during his 1st visit).  The office also scheduled another appointment for him 3 months later.  After learning about the $200+ office visit, I brought the Availity result Dr. Michael Tran's office printed out for the initial visit and my print out 1 day after the 2nd visit to his office, asking why office visit was $200+ when his copay was supposed to be less than $60.  Staffs stated the Dr. "always does his patients favors by allowing them to pay on day of services or wait for the bill to pay later," since office didn't know how much was his copay.  No lady, first of all your office should've known by now after his insurance mailed you EBO and your office mailed us the bill stating his copay was less than $60.  Your office even printed out the Availity result &amp; given to my dad on his initial visit, stating copay below $60.  Don't try to lie your way out by saying you guys always do patients favor by letting them pay now or pay later option.  Nowhere does it say $200+ for specialist office visit on his insurance card nor on Availity website.  Even after my dad talked to his insurance and brought in the newly mailed EBO (Explanation of Benefits) by his insurance, the office refused to even look at it nor reimbursed him.  They told him to go home-- they only accept paperwork mailed by insurance.  My dad suffered from traumatic stress due to this office unethical practice; gotten him into paying more than he should for office visit and kept beating around the bushes instead of returning his money.For any of you who encountered disputes regarding overcharging by this office, don't waste your time talking logically/reasons or showing them paperwork from insurance, just file grievance with your insurance and take it straight to higher up: Medical Board  <a href="/redir?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dca.ca.gov%2Fconsumers%2Fcomplaints%2Fmedbd.shtml&amp;s=01689855c3224658d70a44fa83697ca005746d282bc997f4745f2572d3123eca" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">dca.ca.gov/consumers/com…</a>American Academy of Ophthalmologist  <a href="/redir?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.aao.org%2Feye-health%2Ftips-prevention%2Freport-problem-with-your-doctor&amp;s=16509e03bfe4d8234a7707b7a8420a0edf17dc553e992cc684879e9e1722056e" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">aao.org/eye-health/tips-…</a>You're welcome

We are so happy we found Dr. Tran. We've been fighting what two other doctors thought to be a stye for over 4 months now. After discovering that it could potentially be something a lot more dangerous, we called Dr. Tran's office on a Saturday (!) to see if they could fit us in on short notice. They immediately answer the phone (no annoying recording to go through) and verified our insurance info as well as told us to come as a walk-in the same morning and they would see us as soon as they had an opening (or at the latest upon closing that same day). I cannot stress enough how grateful we are for their efficient handling of emergent cases and concerns. Dr. Tran then proceeded to correctly identify what was going on with my eye (the first doctor of 3 to realize it's not even a stye after 4 months) and gave me careful care instructions as well as special eyedrops to help with the healing process. Thank you for your hard work, cannot recommend this doctor as well as the efficient front desk staff enough.

My whole family are Dr.Tran's patients. It's nothing weird that there are so many compliments from his patients. My grandma has been his patient for over 10 years. Saying thank you is not enough to express my sincerity. But I have to say thank to him.

Good and professional services. I feel happy and confident when my eyes are taken care of Dr. Tran and his kind and professional staffs. I have referred  so many friends and families to see him.

My mom, Minh, got a cataract surgery done by Dr. Tran. The surgery went smoothly and she was very happy with the results. Dr. Tran is very good and attentive during her post-op recovery period. He called to make sure everything was ok with her.

Highly recommend everyone to see this doctor. He and his staffs are dedicate and professional ones that I have ever met. I feel reassured that my eyes are being taken care of by this doctor.
