List of Chan H Kim's Reviews
I agree with everyone about this place. The woman who answers the phone was extremely rude. She told us that if we needed something sooner to go to the ER. And then complained because she stated I gave her the wrong last name. And I said if she were to have asked me the birthdate she’d find it and then told me that no one was going to find my mother in law with the last name I gave her. And that the soonest she had was September. DO NOT GO HERE
Wow I just read all the other reviews and it is exactly what everyone says! The woman who answered the phone is so totally rude and so unprofessional!! After spending 15 minutes waiting for her to look for my referral and questioning me about my insurance which she paused for minutes before asking me each question. I had to keep asking her if she was still there she told me she couldn't find it after she realized. I think she was fishing around to see what insurance I had. Just as II made the appointment she abruptly hung up on me . I wasn't even sure if it was confirmed so I called her back to ask if we were done or if we accidentally got disconnected, she wouldn't answer the question I kept saying hello hello and I could hear her in the background as if she set the phone down, so I hung up and tried to call back a couple times and she would put me on hold. I'm not playing that game and I'm not showing up for the appointment either! So glad I found out now...I'll be getting a new doctor!!!
Can't believe what just happened. After numerous tries, I was able to send them all information of my mom's Medicare info with details. The lady who answered - same person who I had talk with in the past, saying that they will have headache with dealing with the Medicare so she said that my mom should be seen by other doctors. WHAT??? WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR AND DOCTOR'S RECEPTIONIST IS SHE???UNBELIEVABLE DO NOT EVEN CALL
Wow, not surprised after reading reviews that sound very similar to what my Mother just experienced. I am disgusted at how the Receptionist responded to my Mother attempting to make an appointment. She is incompetent, rude, and her personality is garbage. My Mother called and tried to make an appointment and her responses were "You live far, you have the best insurance. This referral was a mistake, you have to call your Doctor and get a new referral". "You live too far, this is a 2 hour drive for you". My mother explained that she was feeling ill and was willing to make the 2 hour drive to see the Doctor her response again was "We don't have anything until May". My mother stated that was fine and she ultimately REFUSED her service and hung up on her. This is unacceptable and very rude! My Mother reached out once again after the woman hung up on her and asked for her name at which point the woman responded with Kay. As my Mother was about to ask another question she once again hung up on her. I hope no one feeling ill thinks about seeking medical attention here, you will just be wasting your time. Regardless after such an experience I am glad my Mother is not seeking medical attention here and requested a new referral from her Doctor. Please do NOT waste your time here.
Im not even sure where to begin Ive been dealing with balance issues somewhat like Vertigo since August. The ER physician suggested I see a Neurologist so my primary Dr. submitted an authorization. The first appt. I could get was almost 5 weeks away but I didnt care as I was desperate to find out what was wrong with me still dealing with imbalance. The woman that answered was very rude and very difficult to understand. Turns out she may be the wife of the Neurologist. When my PCP found out how far out my appt. was the front office staff called to ask if they could see me sooner...the woman said if shes that sick maybe she should go back to the ER and then hung up. Long story short...I saw him on 1029...the visit lasted no more than 10 minutes I explained all my imbalance issues and all he said was drink plenty of water and get 8 hours of sleep and Ill see you next month. I was in shock...I left there so upset. I had the mindset to request a different Neurologist the same day the woman hung up on the front office staff at my PCPs office. See him next week. Im sure this appt. will be different. Im also reporting him to my insurance company. Too bad zero stars is not an option. What a FRAUD Stay away from him and his Office Manager...P.S. they dont accept debitcards as they dont have a machine. The Office Manager also uses a typewriter vs a computer...not sure what century theyre living in.
Horrible Customer Service Do not go to this office She hanged up on us 3x on two different days. When you ask a question you cannot understand her at all very thick accent her name is Kay? Unable to call back as they are not picking up anymore. She said to go to another office 510 minutes away because my family is in Long Beach as their next appointment is on December then next day it is on January So dont waste your time with them. Steer far far away.
If I could give negative stars I definitely would. I highly recommend if you have any say in what doctor you see with your insurance, you make sure they don't send you here. The doctor barely spends any time at all talking to you, and just rushes you out. He isn't the worst of it though. His wife, the secretary/receptionist, is why I will never go back. My first visit there, she told me if I was only there to have a form filled out, that I needed to leave. Even after repeatedly saying that wasn't why I was there. Then when it came time to be cleared for work, she refused to even talk to the doctor about it. She won't even fax any of my notes from the single doctor visit to my primary, so that he can clear me for work. Avoid this place at all costs.
The lady on the front desk, sucks never will come back here again! Very rude and hard to deal with.
I just made a phone call to inquire about appointment times and the lady on the phone was the most difficult person I've ever spoken to.I myself am of asian decent so I can understand and communicate and make out what's going on. When I asked about potential appointment dates, the lady who was very difficult to understand, immediately was combative and rude. I wanted to know how far out are appointment times as I have a fairly urgent health issue I'd like looked at. After that, She started demanding the authorization number which I didn't have on hand. Immediately after that she got aggressive and told me that I was wasting her time by not being truthful. She abruptly hung up on me after I tried to explain I have an authorization number but I don't have it on me. If this is the first level customer service being given to prospective patients, I just can't imagine how treatment for more serious issues can go. I thought about not posting this but want to save anyone the time of thinking they're going to get quality care. My sister mentioned a plausible explanation for why someone could be so rude is the doctor hired her mother-in-law for reception and they hate each other, clearly.
Never coming to this place again. The receptionist who is also the doctor's wife made it a horrible experience for me. She gave me a hard time with the paperwork she had me fill out by accusing me of lying on one of the questions. Why would I waste my time and money to come to a doctors appointment and lie when I'm desperately looking for treatment? The doctor didn't even help me, he was more focused on prescribing me medication than actually finding out why I'm experiencing my condition. I could barely understand what the guy was saying too. I think his office would do a whole lot better if he got rid of his wife and hired a real receptionist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
