I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Pirouz and the staff at Retina Consultants of OC. My mother was visiting from out of town this past summer when we discovered that she needed an urgent retinal consult. I am grateful to the staff for fitting us in for an appointment quickly. Everyone we interacted with from phone calls, receptionists to medical assistants were professional and worked with urgency. Dr. Pirouz is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and kind. I fully recommend the practice and team here.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is so incredibly friendly. I had to have emergency eye surgery and they immediately put me at ease and walked me through what was gonna happen. I absolutely love this place.

Horrible service! You come at time of appointment and your still here 2-2.5 hours later and All they can say is I'm Sorry. They way over book! shame on them lots of elderly patients that have to sit here all day.

For over a year now my mom has been seeing Dr. Ramkumar. When she first began seeing her..my mom was on the verge of losing her site. Dr. Ramkumar assured my mom that she was going to do everything she could to save her vision and she did just that. She has been such a blessing each and every time we have gone in for a checkup or most recently when my mom started having some blurriness again. We had no appointment that day..but she told my mom to come in that same morning. She has been taking the time to see her quite a bit lately within these past 3 weeks. Thats how passionate she is about her patients. No matter what..each time before we leave from the appointment..she always reminds my mom that she is always there for her and that we can call her whenever we need to. Not only is she the best eye doctor my mom has ever been to..but her staff is also amazing. We have never had a problem with them and they have all made us feel so welcome. Thank you Dr. Ramkumar and staff for everything! Especially for taking such great care of my mom!

I have been coming to Dr. Jarus for 8 years and have always had an excellent experience. Not only is Dr. Jarus knowledgeable but he is a true professional while still being friendly and caring. Gina and Crystal are both fantastic and always make me feel welcome and comfortable. I drive over 100 miles to come to this office and that is 100% because of Dr. Jarus, Gina & Crystal. They are spectacular and a true asset to the office.

I just had my second macular hole repaired by dr. Rankumar one year apart both times I've had a great experience dr. Ramkumar she is a great surgeon she took the time to explain in details before and after the surgery also a thump up for great staff the took care of me.

Dr Ramkumar and her staff were fantastic. I was scared because my vision in my right deteriorated so quickly and my optometrist told me it was from a cataract. My ophthalmologist diagnosed a retinal tear and her staff called and Dr Ramkumar worked me into her schedule that same day. Dr Ramkumar took the time to listen to me, preform a thorough exam and explain exactly what was going on. She was able to complete a laser surgery that sealed my retinal tear. Without Dr Ramkumar I would have lost my sight in my right eye. Thank you Dr Ramkumar and your entire staff....you all are the best!!!

My Mom (Angie), had an emergency eye surgery the same day she went for an appointment. Dr. Adrean and staff were quick to take great care of her needs and schedule the surgery. Over the past few weeks during recovery, her vision is improving daily. I read the other reviews about the wait time however, the service is well worth the wait especially in an emergency situation. Dr. Adrean is very professional, well spoken and caring. I strongly recommend this center. Thank you!

I feel like I should preface with the fact that I spent years working in an ophthalmologist office with a high-volume of patients and I very much understand the inner-workings of this type of medical office.My mother called me on the morning of Sunday 2/23 to ask what I knew of retinal tears. She was experiencing a very sudden onset of big, dark floaters in one eye that appeared to be trailing through her eyesight like "wisps of black smoke."That same day she went to urgent care, who immediately urged her to go to the ER because they suspected retinal damage. ER encouraged her to see an ophthalmologist, because they also suspected retinal damage, but couldn't do anything. I do believe, however, the ER is responsible for solidifying her appointment with her doctor the next day; I know that an emergency appointment on a Monday morning is no easy thing for any ophthalmologist office. My mom called early Monday morning 2/24 (she said she knew the office opened at 8am but that they actually answered her call a little before that time, kudos to reception!!!). She was told to be in the office by 10am and to have someone to drive her. My dad was able to meet her there and she was checked in by 10am; but the office was packed. There were many patients waiting to be seen, and even more bodies because, remember, many eye appointments require dilation, which require a driver for said patient! My mom already felt really defeated by her urgent care and following ER visit.However, after being checked in at 10am, she was pre-tested, in a room, and with a doctor by 10:30am (just 30 minutes!). She and my father both said they felt the office was efficient, attentive, and very supportive of her emergency visit. Both of my parents also expressed the quality of care my mom received from Dr. Adrean. I have an even deeper appreciation for this because I know, from the office side, what it means to squeeze in an emergency patient that wasn't expected. However, my mom and dad both felt comfortable, confident, and well-attended to by both office staff and Dr. Adrean during their visit.Specifically, which I very much appreciate, he told my mother that "in good conscious I can't let you leave because I would feel guilty if your condition worsened." Retinal tears are serious. "Time is of the essence" when it comes to retinal tears, and ultimately it could result in retinal detachment, and possibly blindness. Dr. Adrean was quick, but efficient and considerate, and I cannot be grateful enough to hear BOTH of my parents express their feelings of quality care from the office staff and the doctor. Dr. Adrean was kind, and relatable, and most importantly, he made my mother feel like she was the only patient he was thinking of when he was with her. In emergency situations, this is above and beyond. My parents are not easy people; my mom's dramatic as heck and my dad's the guy that makes you sit in reception while he embarrasses you discussing tiny mistakes with the front desk that don't really matter. But both of my parents had nothing but amazing things to say about this office, their staff, their efficiency regarding triage, and Dr. Adrean (who had to stick a large needle in my mom's eye, and they both still like the guy).Thank you for making an emergency situation feel a little more normal to my parents. The following day my mom is able to laugh about the extremeness of the situation, ONLY because she was treated so well. It could have been so different for her. I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in making my mom's crappy situation a little less crappy.I will be calling the office to personally extend my thanks. Bravo!!!

I am shocked at the low ratings for this office. The service my husband received here was outstanding. We signed in and were taken in for our appointment 10 minutes early! The girl who did my husbands vision test was very kind, efficient, and explained to us how the appointments go. He was dilated and had a scan of the back of his eye (done with the latest technology, not sure what the other review referred to) and was sent to the waiting room for the dilating drops to take effect. The appointment was time consuming but the back office took their time with my husband as well as Dr. Ramkumar with her exam. She explained and answered all our questions. Also, an added bonus is that she speaks spanish! My husband understands english, but is more comfortable with spanish so that was really helpful.
