List of Craig Owens's Reviews
He performed my surgery and was very professional. All went well, which to me is great. Staff very friendly!
Performed my surgery. All went well!
• I was diagnosed with hypertrophy and was granted an authorization for surgery consultation with Dr. Craig Owens by my primary care physician. • Dr. Owens’ front desk staff was ill-informed and overreaching by deeming me “not medically necessary because [I] don't have cancer” and hung up, without speaking to a medical professional first. • A receptionist should not be making diagnoses nor should she be treating patients this way, inappropriate and dangerous. [Disclaimer: if there is any confusion as to who the staff member was, she was an English woman.]

Having gallbladder issues that got worse after getting an infection. Dr Owens was terrific! He spent over an hour going through my case. Very thorough and very caring, along with a very caring staff. I highly recommend Dr Owens!
I had surgery by Doctor Craig Owens in Richmond VA 22 years ago. Doctor Craig Owens worked at Richmond Surgical Group. I came to see Dr. Owens for second opinion to hear one more time that everything is OK. But it was not... Amazing Doctor, great personality, professional surgeon. I am going to remember Dr. Owens for the rest of my life.
It's gets dangerous when doctors maybe should retire because of mistakes. Reading all this is scary and doctor really needs to communicate better.
Dr. Owens is a nice but quiet man; however, his diagnosis contradicted the other doctors. I think the other doctors were right so not sure what was going on except he thought I had something different. Didn't have a chance to ask him cuz someone else came in the hospital room so maybe my case was not his specialty.
Dr Owen's saved my life. He is the most caring and concerned doctor I have ever had. I wouldn't be alive today if not for him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
