Unbelievable! My wife had Brain Surgery to menove a tumor. Surgery took 4 hours and shew was put in ICU had no control of body function and no ability to move. Her food was served in sealed containers and she was expected to open them and feed herself. After 3 days she was still unable to move on her own as well as speak on her own. The hospital decided to release her to me (80 yrs old), no mobility equipment or other hospital equipment. Brought her home, had to borrow a walker to get her into house. She fell and I had to call 911 for help. The EMT's put her in bed at home and she was totally immobile for 2 days before getting her medical transport to a Rehab Center. If you have choice, stay away from this hospital.

Nurses and doctors seem fine, but here's the deal...My wife is having brain surgery tomorrow and my daughter and I can't both visit!?!?  We have to decide who gets to see my wife and who doesn't. While I don't agree with the fact that she can't have two family members, I could deal with it if after my daughter leaves I can visit. But no. That's not allowed?!?  Tell me how this makes sense.Fuck your rules and fuck you hiding behind your desk in some 2nd floor office while you make the security guards enforce these bullshit rules. You know this isn't right.

Horrible emergency center! My husband went in due to abdominal pain. Ultrasounds and everything were done and was told by the ER doctor oh you have gallstones and need surgery ASAP. Then discharged him and doesn't give him any pain meds or anything and was told to follow up with his pcp. Never told us how bad or anything. Said to take ibuprofen or Tylenol. My husband couldn't tolerate the pain anymore and I found a surgeon. Husband had to go to another ER and again ultrasounds and everything was done but told he needed to get surgery right away due to having severe infections, multiple might I add and his gallbladder was bout to rupture. He was seen the night before at this ER and after what happened with my husband, finding out how severe his condition was and for this ER to just be non chalant and say follow up with your pcp! Horrible and I will never bring my family back here again. I rather drive over an hr away like I did otherwise, my husbands condition could have been fatal! Very upset about this!! Do better!!!

This review is specifically for one of the ICU nurses at this hospital. Her name is Monique. She was the most caring nurse my family member had while she was there for over a week. The few times we saw her, we felt relieved. She also took time to talk to us and keep us informed. She is truly an amazing nurse. Thank you so much. If you have a loved one who is being cared for by Monique, you can rest assured she is on top of things.

I went to the ER today. They were not firm on making sure patients were wearing their mask right. As well as one of the nurse Crystal wasnt wearing her mask right. Working in the medical field especially the ER you should know it goes over your mouth AND nose . The other nurse were completely friendly though.

Checked into IVMC ER due to lingering COVID symptoms. The check in nurse was prompt and friendly and got me back to a room within 5 minutes. The ER staff was friendly, attentive, and competent. The ER Dr explained what the process would be and all tests she planned on administering. I felt I received an extensive and comprehensive battery of tests. Prior to leaving, the Dr explained to me, in detail, the results of all tests and answered any questions I had. I received a complete discharge package detailing all tests done and what the results were. I am very pleased with the level of care I received. I appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the staff at IVMC ER.
