Wilmington Urgent Care & Family Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of this clinic since the doors opened, and I must say, since SAMANTHA, the PA, left, the quality of my experiances there has diminished. For example: once time while in triage another patient with a severe cold and cough was brought into the triage area by a staff, to wait for their turn to take vitals.  While waiting not 3 feet away from me, the person began coughing, mouth uncovered.   Needless to say I hold this to be accountable for the reason I was hospitalized for 7 days the following week, unable to breathe. Another time, I came in after being called to review my lab work.  I waited over an hour and a half to see the provider, who then told me he would rather i come in at a later time so he could do a full physical.  Now I am 64 years old with pre existing conditions whom is well aware of being at high risk during this pandemic, not only was my life put in jeopardy just making the visit, I was brushed off till a later date, to be exposed again! How thoughtless ! Also, not wishing to have to find another Provider, in spite of the declining quality of  performance by staff, I changed my insurance to a different carrier, at their suggestion, to keep them and have had nothing but a nightmare ever since trying to get service from them and the other providers they had me referred to for my treatment prior to the switch. As it stands now, after 2 days of phone conversations with this office and my pain management to get a refill of my meds, I have to wait until next week for that refill that is NOT my regular medication, its something I  took in tandem with my regular, that I am totally out of so I'm spending the next 4 plus days in pain because of a lack of communication, un updated medication lists, and over all, what I feel to be uncaring and incompetent clinic. Nobody wanted to hear the whole story, or take into account that pain management prescribed one medication, and the last one they gave me last WAS NOT the one I needed!  I felt as if nobody wanted to deal with me except the Office Manager who did say they would see what they could do, and even then left me hanging for 5 hours till I finally called them, only to be denied. As of this writing, I am awaiting the new insurance card so I can begin searching for another Provider.  If I am going to be made to suffer in pain I will utilize the time by fixing at least a PART of the problem as soon as  I can.  The attitude of the staff is pitiful, they make you feel uncomfortable, as if you are  wasting their their time, the Provider is putting off the same feelings as well. I am a 3 year colon cancer  survivor and I will be darned if I am going to continue going somewhere where I do not feel my best interests are a primary concern!

Great clinic. Tiffany at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and Dr. Nelson was ultra helpful and professional.

I was very impressed by this Urgent Care clinic. It had easy parking, was ultra-clean, and had an estimated wait-time posted. The sign said an approximate wait of 2 hours, but I was taken in 45 minutes. The physician's assistant (or was she a nurse practitioner?) was young, but seemed very competent and knowledgeable. I've found that an MD doesn't necessarily give any better advice/treatment than a nurse practitioner. She was right in not prescribing antibiotics for my chronic cough/sinus issues. The allergy meds she prescribed had me feeling better almost immediately and I haven't had any problems since.

Wait time is not that bad here and affordable been here a few times and the doctors here are awesome

I needed an x-ray done urgently to facilitate for consultation and they had it done, thank you very much.

I had an emergency whereby my husband got an asthma attack. We were very desperate and then we thought of bringing him to the clinic. They took him through and he was fine after a few minutes. I am happy with this facility.

I got my burn healed from this clinic. Thank you very much.

My baby fell ill and his temperature was really rising fast. I took him immediately to Wilmington Urgent Care & Family Clinic and he was immediately taken care of. I appreciate that.

I just needed to run exams to officially show that I was ready to return to work after a week of being ill and Wilmington Urgent Care & Family Clinic did just that for me.

The closest clinic to my block, Wilmington Urgent Care and Family Clinic has served my family for a year now and we have no regrets.
