Dr. Kachikwu is great!  I had an emergency that required surgery and she took great care of me.  She is very kind and did a fantastic job!  I feel fortunate that I found her to do my surgery.

Dr Kachikwu explained my issue very clearly and the options for treatment including surgery. Her staff kept me informed as we had to reschedule a few times because of the hospital restrictions. Everything went well and I appreciated the followup care as well. Great doctor

Four and a half years ago, I was referred to Dr. Kachikwu through a gastroenterologist for surgery on my bowels due to damage from diverticulosis. She thoroughly explained what she was going to do in surgery and also showed me the scan and pictures from the colonoscopy I'd had days before. The surgery became more detailed and difficult than expected but she had warned me beforehand that it was possible. Her post surgical care was equally great. I can only add that she literally saved my life. Four and a half years later - all my "plumbing" works as it should! I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kachikwu!

Dr. Kachikwu is AMAZING! I had surgery for a very large mass on my thigh by another surgeon who completely botched my leg. He told me I had cancer and that he was going to refer me to USC for treatment. The incision became infected and without going on a rant about this guy or his unorganized office, I ended up not seeing that surgeon anymore. I went to my long-time family doctor for advice who recommended Dr. K. He was appalled at how the first surgeon closed my wound and how infected it was. After insurance approval, I called Dr. K's office and they got me in immediately. The initial visit I was told to get there early, so I did have a longer wait but I was expecting that. We were pretty distraught with the cancer diagnosis and when Dr K walked in, she put my husband and I instantly at ease. She was truthful but very optimistic. She gave me so much hope.  She has a tremendous amount compassion, grace and kindness, and she's very knowledgeable in her field. She assured me we won't call it cancer until SHE is 100% certain and even though it looks like cancer, that may not be the case. She told me that she would remove the entire mass that the other surgeon had left in and send it off for biopsy. She cleaned out all of the infection and scar tissue caused by the other surgeon. She inserted a drain so I didn't have the drainage issues I had from the last surgery. The mass was a foot long and 7 inches wide. The scar is long, but she closed the surgery site so tight and precise, that the scar is now very light and barely noticeable. The last surgeon didn't close it properly and left it gaping in some areas causing severe purple scarring. Dr K cleaned all of that up for me. She is very attentive and is one of the kindest doctors I've ever met. She has been a true blessing in our lives and I thank God for her. If anyone thinks they may have cancer, or has been diagnosed with cancer, I highly, highly recommend Dr. K.A cancer diagnosis is very scary and emotions are very high, understandably. She is so sympathetic, but also very direct. She doesn't sugar-coat your situation, but at the same time, she portrays kindness and she has such a loving nature. Doctors like her are rare these days. I truly felt that God brought her into our lives and I am so thankful for her.

Great experience. I am a Melanoma cancer survivor and can tell you she knows what she is doing. I enjoyed the fact that she took time to personally interview me , not just look at the paper work. She was very professional and expressed that she cared about my situation.This was a life saving experience.

I feel so lucky to have Dr. Kachikwu as my surgeon. She took the time to keep my husband informed as to what was going on during my time in the hospital, when he was unable to be there with me. On my follow up appointment she took the time to sit and explain to me everything that when on during my surgery, and what to expect in the coming weeks. I am so glad she was on staff at Placentia Linda hospital when I went into the hospital. she is truly an angel. I am so grateful for her. Very caring, knowledgeable, and very professional. Also her in office staff was very polite and helpful before and during my follow up appointment. Thank You Dr K

I would never ever go to this doctor anymore. She is so greedy for money. I remember It was my post op one year surgery by her and I Still had issue with lump in my breast So I called them and said I do not have insurance with no income and I am concerned and crying. But the receptionist said they can not visit me unless I pay 350 copay. Can you believe a doctor who is greedy that much. All other doctors told me this is not a good surgery at all and it is her fault . Last month I just visited and checked up her. Today I took my mammogram result in order to give it to them they asked me if I need to hear doctor's openion about my recent mammogram result I have to pay again but I said I have my radiologist result why should I pay you again. Enough is enough I need to change my doctor . I would have done it before based on other doctors suggestion ... I need a human being Doctor not a materialistic Doctor!!!!!!!

I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. Please if you need a doctor who think about you health not about her pocket then choose another doctor.

Unfortunately my primary physician send me to Dr K and my experience was not good. Shani her assistant is extremely unfair and rude. The first time I was scheduled I was advised by her staff to show up a little earlier to complete the paperwork. So I arrived early completed the paperwork and had to wait two additional hours just to see Dr K. Her assistant Shani was rude to me for some reason and she made me feel uncomfortable. Finally I got a chance to see Dr K she advised me to go and get a CT scan. However when I did she was not available to go over my results which was very frustrating. Soon after unfortunately I had to check into ER and called her office to let her know that my condition is getting worse. Shani was asking me for some kind of proof to see if I was actually in ER which I did but I felt insulted because that's not how you treat a patient. To make matters worse I had to wait over a week to get a second appointment. By then my condition was worse and again her staff called me and asked me if I could come in earlier. So I arrived half an hour early and again they made me wait over two hours for nothing because when I finally got a chance to see Dr K she had a nasty attitude and rushed me out the door. Very unprofessional and I definitely don't recommend Dr K or her staff to anyone.
