Christopher Marx does not have an adequate amount of comments to generate the sentiment analysis.
Have moved here recently and have had great experiences with my other doctors and at Scripps overall in every way, but Dr. Marx was a big disappointment. Felt like he was really not listening to me. (made clear when he asked a question that if he had listened he would have had the answer to), and felt like he was not really present or engaged. I cna see why his other ratings are so low.
I have been a patient of Dr. Christopher Marx for over 10 years. Dr. Marx is very knowledgeable and always ensures that I have a good understanding of my medical issues, test results and the importance of my yearly checkups. Highly recommend!
Dr. Marx doesnt listen (neither to medical history, nor health concerns, nor request for path forward). He has a hostile bedside manner (yells for 15 minutes about how he disagrees with previous endocrinologists treatment plan for me, then yells for another 15 about how he refuses to check my iron or do a diabetes check). Incorrectly logged my current meds in my chart, read lab work without accounting for existing meds so refused renewals which is currently jeopardizing my health (you can quit thyroid meds cold turkey, particularly when you need them). Most bizarre disaster.
I think people are being unfair. Dr. Marx is an excellent doctor and has been treating me for years. Yes, hes a quiet man but that doesnt mean hes a bad doctor. My visits have been extremely thorough with Dr. Marx going over previous tests and explaining what I need and dont need.
Dr Marx has treated me for Type I Diabetes for many years. He keeps me well informed on all current findings in regard to this disease and encourages me to attend programs that will help in maintaining control. I am very fortunate that he is my physician.
I was recently diagnosed with diabetes when I saw this doctor. In fact, during my office visit, I was extremely fatigue, and complained about my symptoms, it was so obvious some of my symptoms were diabetic symptoms. To make a long story short, this doctor did not even try to figure out what I had and told me my symptoms were not diabetic symptoms (I need to add my symptoms were classic diabetic symptoms, plus other symptoms). I also stated I was very fatigue and weak and he said that wasnt a diabetic symptom. He didnt figure out that it my have been my thryroid that was bothering me (fatigue is one of the symptoms of thyroid disease). After months of trying to figure out what I had, I found a doctor who I asked to check my thyroid, sure enough that was the problem. This doctor did not even bother to do more than interpret what my blood sugar was. I could have done that online. He wasnt helpful, nor do I believe he wanted to help me. He had a very arrogant attitude. I had to be proactive and keep asking what he thought my symptoms were. His answer: those arent diabetic symptoms. Hello? Yes, they were and some were hypothyroid symptoms! He should have figured that out being an endocrinologist. Do not waste your time and money on a lazy, incompetent and obviously indifferent doctor who does not care enough to try and figure out and diagnose his patients! I get so frustrated when I think about the time I wasted on such incompetence!
Wont listen nor care about his patients. Also with a extremely mean mouth. I wont see this doctor again if I want to live longer.
I dispise this doctor so much that the mention of his name will set me off. I refuse treatment from any provider that mentions his name.
