Excellent when I first became a patient. Over the past year, reaching anyone on his staff steadily getting worse. There is no one answering the phones - even when I select "I am a Dr.". Took me 3 days last try. Looking to change asap.

So I made appointment for my husband and myself. My husband couldn’t make his appointment at the last minute due to a work call out. I had called the day before and waited on hold for over an hour to never get anybody on the phone (as he knew he might get called out due to it being 4/20). Their excuse was well we we’re short staffed and didn’t have anyone to answer the phone . Well that’s not my problem . I tried to give a heads up that we needed to change an appointment or that he would possibly be late and no one answered your phones ! So I thought since I couldn’t get a hold of anyone to rearrange the appointments that I would just take the appointment and he could take mine rather than a no show at the last minute! So I went ahead and showed up for his appointment and he was taking mine which was going to be two days later. They wouldn’t see me because I didn’t arrive 30 minutes early even though I already had all my paperwork prefilled out. I guess they’d rather have an empty appointment than filling that appointment with someone? So I rushed from the other end of town where I was working on my mothers estate who recently passed away, so that they didn’t have a no-show(wasting an appt), wasting gas just to be turned away ! I’m sure I would’ve sat in the doctors office just like every other doctor waiting on them for 20 or 30 mins.I get rules, however sometimes you need to make an exception and be a bit flexible.

Dr. Vela Brol was my mother’s physician for 14 years. A kinder, more compassionate doctor I have never met. He spent literally hours on the phone with me, or on speaker phone with several of the family as we endeavored to help mother through some of the hardest months of her life, until her passing this year. He truly demonstrated the love of God to our family. His care for Mother through the years was exceptional in every way. I wish he was here in Louisiana where I live, because he would be my physician of choice! God Bless Dr. Carlos Vela Brol. His Care Coordinator, Hailey, also helped us so much.

Dr. Vela Brol really takes the time to listen to you, a very compassionate doctor, wants to be sure you can be the best you if not better!

Dr Carlos is a true caring medical partner to my health plan and is soo talented in the explanations of his conclusions and getting my understanding in a warm and sincere way. He is an awesome doctor for my families care. Detail oriented in his methods and excellent problem solving for my medical related symtoms to the right meds and next steps. He is truly a gifted doctor of medicine I am so grateful to have as my GP for years now.
