List of New West Physicians's Reviews
My wife and I had found a good physician here. When she left we decided to stick with the practice. This was a terrible mistake.Since then every little interaction has been difficult from prescription refill request to scheduling yearly checkups, following through with referrals, etc…Finally, when my wife hurt her back and needed to see our doc, an appointment two weeks out was the best they were willing to do for her. She explained how much pain she was in, was interrupted and told she needs to go to an emergency room or wait two weeks. Thousands of dollars for an emergency room visit or live with pain for two weeks unable to see a specialist without a referral - these were the options they rudely presented. Then the “team lead”, rather than addressing the problem of my wife’s pain or apologizing for her subordinate’s constant interrupting, decided to argue about my tone of voice. Not only were they not there for us when we needed them, they treated us like my wife’s pain wasn’t important to them.Useless. Unprofessional. Unreliable. Rude. Petty. Combative. Are a few of the words that accurately describe the people we dealt with.Look elsewhere for a doctor, find someone who cares enough to be there when you need them.
PA and Md's along ancillary staff are paranoid to give patients adequate pain relief. They are crass and show no compassion when talking to an injured patient. They schedule an appointment 5 days out for a patient in acute increase after a fall. They just don't care
There are a few wonderful things about the office, but the first and lasting interaction was with April She is the at the front desk, and is beyond Empathetic, Kind, considerate, and always makes you feel safe. When choosing a doctor, the office staff can really enhance or degrade your care. April goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to be courteous, kind, and always welcoming. She remembers you by name, and makes a point of reflecting the overall goal, which is well being.. I thank April for being there when life wasnt easy for me, she followed up with available appointments and addressed my concerns. Professionally and kindly. Thank you for hiring people like April. There should be more of her! A++++++++++++++++++
As has been written in a previous review from a year ago (although I didn't see prior to pursuing an appointment), this practice does NOT accept Medicare reimbursement when coupled with a very popular Blue Cross/Blue Shield secondary insurance. While I certainly understand the reasons behind exclusion of certain policies (I work in healthcare management), what I do NOT understand is A) Why a new patient's insurance information isn't verified at time of making said appointment, to avoid a lengthy wait to the appointed day only to discover upon entry to the clinic that they won't see you if you want to use insurance, and B) Why this issue isn't covered with some detail in the FAQ section of the practice's website (in fact, the FAQ section links do not work at all). My 80 y/o mother waited for more than a week for a new patient appointment, only to be told she cannot be seen due to the practice's arbitrary insurance exclusions. Alternatives were offered but this is after the insult, so why bother? Interestingly, the practice has stated in another poorly rated review that "letters were sent out" to certain patients to explain these insurance limitations...why not post the same info on your website, so the masses that didn't receive a letter have this information available?Take the time to process patients up front. Try to be patient-centered! It won't hurt, I promise. And I'm not interested in "discussing the matter further" so please don't respond with the typical canned reply to this review. If you all cannot sort out how to properly manage a practice, well...I'm sure your competition will.
Dr Stahl is great the women at the front desk are rude and unprofessional. Please train them or get rid of them. Otherwise I will have to find a new practice.
Sought advice on possible skin cancer. PA believed it to be a wart and treaded with liquid nitrogen. PA advised to observe results and if necessary, physician could remove surgically
The office is conveniently located and the staff is great. I feel like they listen to my input and keep that in the forefront of their decision-making.
Was very pleased with visit. Was put at ease from the very moment of entering until I left. Everyone was extremely professional and friendly. We even talked about cheese and rice.
From the immediate scheduling of an office visit without delay, to a friendly and professional staff, to an excellent medical provider, and in-office lab testing, this practice is extremely impressive!
My experience was excellent. Everyone was attentive and easy to talk too. Dr. Freedman is a terrific doctor and empathic doctor. I highly recommend This New West office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
