My wife and I love Dr. Austin. My cancer was unexpected and I got a bit emotional in our first visit. He offered me a hug and I took him up on it. It was very medicinal. When we got a second opinion for the treatment plan, Dr. Austin actually texted with the other oncologist and they actually collaborated. It blew us away. We've found Dr. Austin to be not only caring, but very knowledgeable about what he does. As we say, "Dr. Poole is very cool." His expertise is indispensable and we appreciate what he does for us.

I have had numerous oncologists and Dr Poole is the best. Caring, on top of my health and medications, and helping to improve the systems at RMCC when i complain about the phone system and the long waits in infusion

Dr Poole is caring asute, up to date with data. I cannot say enough about how supportive he is. He also has been very sympathetic to listen to me when I complain about the annoying phone system at RMCC, the long waiting times for med in infusion He also has a sense of humor and visits the infusion room which definitely perks up the patients. He is the best

From my first meeting with Dr. Poole, it was evident that he cares about people. I have always felt respected and heard in our appointments. He takes the time to explain the what, how, and why of all treatment decisions. He is present, and a good listener. Dr. Poole is straightforward and honest, with a calm, level head. I chose to trust his recommendations completely because I knew that if something wasn't working, he would let me know. I am fortunate that my cancer treatment process is yielding positive results, but even if it wasn't, I am certain that I would still feel that I was receiving competent and thorough care from Dr. Poole. I am grateful for his nurse practitioners as well, who are excellent at filling in and addressing any issues that arise when Dr. Poole's busy schedule makes him harder to reach. RMCC Boulder is a great campus. I have had positive experiences with most everyone I have met there, Dr. Poole is no exception. Thank you for your help.
