Dr. Mateskon performed the radiation therapy after my BC surgery. He was caring, compassionate and laser focused on the task. Very highly recommended.

I cannot express my gratitude for Dr. Mateskon and RN Elizabeth, as well as the entire team at Sky Ridge Radiation Oncology, enough. Cancer is not an experience anyone wants to go through, but I am grateful I had such a wonderful team walk with me through my treatment. Dr. Matekson and Elizabeth took the time to listen to me every time they met with me. Thank you for helping me through my journey.

I have had absolutely positive experiences with Dr. Mateskon and the staff at this office. He is a very kind human who cares for his patients. He is forthright and spends time with patients to make sure everything is explained. I admire his knowledge of radiation and will forever be grateful for his care.

I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in October of last year, 2019, on a spot on my nose. I was told by Dr. Mateskon that since it was a small area, the effectiveness of a radiation treatment would be 99% effective, Just as effective as Mohs. Turns out my dermatologist did a biopsy the same location as in October. I still have basal cell. I still have to have Mohs. The surgery is much more difficult and harder to heal because of the radiation. My Mohs surgery is this Tuesday. I am very upset about the additional surgery, definitely more scaring.

My radiation treatment by Dr. Mateskon is now a few years ago. The treatment for prostate cancer followed the surgical removal of my prostate. The procedures and staff at Dr. Mateskon’s office were outstanding during the treatment. However, I have a radiation cyst in the bladder the bleeds episodically into my urine stream, somethings producing large hematomas and once completely blocking my urine flow. Cysts from radiation is apparently common. I was never warned about this side effect.

If you are scared and stressed out and sick like all cancer patients or possible cancer patients are - be aware you will have to fight through RUDE receptionists to get to an "office manager" who does not return calls unless you harass her. Need an appointment? Too bad, we'll ignore you for weeks. Need a scan scheduled? So sorry, we won't do it until you hound us for a week. Trying to get simple communication across with simple questions? Too bad we won't listen to a single word and make you repeat it 4 - 5 times until your in tears. Like being accused of lying or it being YOUR fault? we'll do that too! This office's motto's in plain text for you.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Mateskon for anyone dealing with cancer. When diagnosed with cancer, most patients are in a situation where they must make decisions quickly and with little information. After being diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (neck cancer), I had the luxury time to research Oncologists... and continued my research after treatment began. If you want a brilliant and experienced doctor of the highest caliber, make an appointment with Dr. Mateskon!
