List of J Mark Barnett's Reviews
I didn't actually see Dr Barnett on this visit. Saw his PA.
Dr Barnett is a compassionate man with superior knowledge and experience. He listens to his patients and cares about their well being and comfort.
First time seeing Dr. Barnett. Really very poor bedside manner. I've had a full body skin checks before, where the dermatologist does all they can to protect your modesty, as it can be a little embarrassing to be nearly naked in front of a perfect stranger. Dr Barnett walked in, asked why I was there (skin check and a few concerns about moles on my face) and then told me to stand, turn to the right, and immediately lifted up my flimsy paper medical gown practically above my head in a way that was totally unnecessary and made it impossible to maintain modesty. Other dermatologists take the time to do this slowly, there is a way to do this so they can allow you to keep the parts of your body covered that are not being checked - for example, why should my breasts be exposed when he is looking at my back? They don't need to be, if the doctor cares about how the patient might feel. So I would say, he's probably fine for guys, if they don't mind this, they tend to be less modest about their bodies. I would actually be uncomfortable if a female doctor did this to me too, but a little less so. Let me be clear, I'm not suggesting any sort of harassment or sexual impropriety - just an utterly insensitive and uncaring attitude. I think he just wants to do everything as fast as possible. Tempted to give one star but I will add a star for a clean office, and at least he didn't waste my time - due to his rushed exam I was out of there in 5 minutes.
Dr. Barnett is always professional and personal. He never rushes through my visit and takes the time to answer all of my questions. When we need to discuss treatment plans, he gives me options, discusses pros and cons and we make the decision together. I am grateful for his dedication to my health and that of his other patients.
13 years cancer free and Dr Barnett has been beside me for the full journey. He’s now my friend, he even recognized my laugh when he heard it at a wedding reception. I only see him once in awhile now, thank goodness for heathy check ups. Would choose him again.
Dr Barnett is the most professional Dr I have ever had. But more than that, he is up front ,understanding supporting down to earth. He talks to u like a family member. And I can't thank him and his staff. For saving my life. Most luv and respect to him
Doc was kind, informed, professional and able to explain my issue in great detail. Gave recommendations and options. I’m very appreciative of his care.
Mark is an incredible oncologist. RMCC is also the same, incredible.
There is no way to adequately describe the gratitude I have for Dr. Barnett and his entire team. The professionalism and empathy exuded by all is something to behold. In my world they are all ANGELS!
Dr. Jay Barnett provided me with by far the worst medical experience I have ever had the misfortune to encounter from a doctor. His complete lack of compassion, patience, listening skills, and attention to detail as well as his overabundance of haughtiness, condescension, and medical gaslighting ensured that I will never return to him or this office for treatment. Wish I could give him zero stars.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
