We love Dr. Matei although her manner may be off-putting to some people. She’s very matter of fact and can appear brusque, but don’t let that fool you. She’s caring and very conscientious about the quality care she provides. She also makes the time to chat about other things besides one’s care so it seems less like a doctor’s visit and more like a chat w/a friend.

I have met with Dr. Matei twice and I really like her. She is very direct and I appreciate that even if it's something I don't want to hear. Some may feel it's rude, hurtful or otherwise but she means it with the best intent. If your very sensitive I can see how someone may not comingle with her. She is very funny and I have to keep up with her witty personality. She is a smart doctor who is very interested in your recovery and well being, she has been in this line of work for many decades...I trust her. I have read very bad reviews of her staff and I think if there are any it is because of reception/scheduling and some of the Nurses. Some are quite rude, behave inappropriately, unprofessional, lack empathy and appear to hate their line of work. Some minor things have happened with myself with scheduling/front desk but it's never been bad enough for me to look elsewhere, at least yet.

Dr Matei is a very kind and compassionate Doctor. She showed empathy when it came to personal concerns about my treatments. She also gave attention to any other issues I may have had referring me to the specialist needed, to keep me cancer free. Thank You Dr Matei

I have non small cell lung cancer. Dr. Matei has always provided me with the best possible treatment available. She keeps me feeling positive and provides me with advice to improve my well being. She explains my CT's, MRI's, etc, so that I can understand what is taking place in my body. I highly recommend Dr. Matei.

Dr. Matei is an amazing oncologist! She’s very up front and honest about your treatment and what to expect. And she cares about her patients, your a person not just a number. I wouldn’t have any other oncologist!
