List of Thelander Erik's Reviews
Dr.Thelander and his office are all so helpful, professional and nice. I have had plantar fasciitis and at another time a broken ankle and torn ligaments. Dr.Thelander explains treatment in detail and what to expect. I highly recommend.
Dr, Thelander is great and personable and listens to you and then tells you what is happening. The office is clean and the staff professional. I had horrible ingrown big nail and it was infected and I was worried about it. I called in the morning and they squeezed me in around 4pm and did a great job fixing my nail issue. Love this doctor and the staff is really nice. If you have foot issues call this office you will not be disappointed! My feet are happy again!
Dr. Thelander could not have been nicer. He took the time to listen and ask relevant and probing questions. My surgery had no complications or issues and both Dr. Thelander and his team did a great job following up. Highly recommend.
Dr. Thelander is kind, personable, professional, knowledgeable, and organized. His assistant, Ruth, is likewise wonderful. While I recommend their practice, I must say, my personal experience has definitely left some room for improvement. I had a double bunionectomy on my right foot and removal of an extra bone. At my final post-op today, I told Dr. Thelander how I felt that I should have started PT sooner and also that I felt like I shouldn't have surgery on my pinky toe, and he accepted the constructive criticism with grace. I made a comment about "not believing in reviews," which is more to say I believe in feedback person to person over telling the world. That said, the reason at this point, 4 months post-op that I'm wishing I had not had surgery on my pinky toe is that it is the only part still swollen, and there is so much scar tissue. I had a flexible hammer toe, and maybe I'll have less issues and be happy about it in the long run, but I do wish I looked into less invasive options. While this hasn't been a fun recovery for me, Dr. Thelander is a perfectionist and a very reputable surgeon.
Dr Thelander and his staff are so kind. He listens and really cares for his patients. The process for getting orthotics fit was easy and affordable. Bonus he follows up with you to make sure you’re happy and sends email newsletters with information and fun facts. I feel very lucky to have been treated by him!
Doctor Thelander seems to be the only person at this office that cares about the patient and trying to alleviate their pain. The doctor ordered me orthotic inserts but his office staff wouldn't call schedule me a time so 3 weeks later I call and set a time. After that whole time his office said that my insurance wouldn't cover it even though they stated they cover 80 percent. I was forced to sign a note stating that I would pay if insurance wouldn't. Two weeks later I get a call stating orthodics were not ordered because insurance wouldn't pay even though I have an explanation of benefits from insurance stating they already paid over a month prior. I have now been forced to continue with my pain because of the office and their incompetence.
I came in to deal with and ingrown toenail and Dr. Thelander and his assistant are so nice and professional! I was embarrassed as it looked unseemly but he made me feel like I was heard and dealt with it within an hour! Would absolutely go back to him, though I hope on less painful circumstances!
Dr. Thelander is my second Podiatrist/surgeon. Believe me, they are not all the same. Had bunion surgery on my right foot the first time. Not a good experience. Chose Dr. Thelander for my next surgery on my left foot. This one was more complex than the first one. My right foot was pretty seriously deformed. I had 2 bunions removed, my innermost big toe joint removed and fused, and my toe ( severe hammer toe) next to my big foot fused by insertion of a long pin. I have 3 screws in my foot altogether. The pin will be removed later. Dr. Thelander uses fiberglass casts to protect the surgical foot during recovery, which is very nice. Controls swelling and is very comfortable for sleeping, driving, and walking on crutches. My last podiatrist didn't use casts at all, causing me much more pain, discomfort, and anxiety about damaging it in a fall. My first bunion surgery was pretty much an immediate failure. The left one that Dr Thelander did was beautiful immediately. Incredible results! I'm 56 and that foot hasn't looked that good since I was 12 years old! Nothing but good vibes and great results here.
His help diagnosing my foot pain and the orthotics have me back exercising and walking 5 miles at a time with no problems now!
Wonderful "bedside" manner; personable and caring; explained things well; one of the best doctors I have had (in any specialty)in my 60 years

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
