List of Uchealth Internal Medicine - Anschutz Medical Campus's Reviews
I'm being billed thousands of dollars for two office visits that easily could have been one. Supposedly this place is exceptional and worth the months you wait to get in. Meanwhile, my doctor hasn't responded to my messages and phone calls in 11 days (and counting) about needing to change prescriptions because of side effects. Health care is just absolutely abhorrent in this country and UC Health at Anschutz is no different.
They are trying to cahrge me for something they never billed me for! They REFUSE to send a bill! anne and valerie REFUSE to send a bill and therfore since my payemnts are routinely not applied appropriately, i wil; not pay until a bill is sent! i have been trying for a MONTH to get said bill and they make up escuses and REFUSE TO SEND! i did contact a patient representative and the response was to call valerie- well she called me and i have left her 3 messages which she has yet to return! formal complaints have been filed and contemplating getting an attorny if uc health sends to colelctions for nonpayment since they refuse to send a bill!
I visited UC Health's Travel Clinic. My initial visit was ok, but all other subsequent visits were terrible. I took the doctor's recommendation for a common but less usual vaccine based on my travel destination. When I arrived for my shot, they didn't even have the order. Three hours later, I finally got my first shot. My wife had the exact same experience. My two young daughters didn't have a much better experience. The pediatric travel doctor actually works for Children's, first of all. Secondly, the nurses who administered the shot seemed to have little experience working with little ones who obviously do not like getting shots. Eventually, I practically had to shout, "Just give them the shot. They aren't going to calm down!" I have also had massive issues with insurance billing. Not all UC Health's fault, but the out-of-pocket for common vaccines is absurd. I cannot recommend against the Travel Clinic here strongly enough. Find another option.
Hard to imagine the ongoing issues here, from billing, to trying to speak with somone to feeling like this is not a safe place to have any medical services provided. Maybe I'm the excpetion but virtually nothing has gone well.
Had to get another spine procedure today. No it's not fun but the things you do to have pain relief. Hopefully. The pain clinic is nice except for one intake person at reception. She can't look you in the eye talking to you. The nurses and assistants are very helpful and try to make you at ease.
Wonderful place to go for your care
Never will go back. My appointment was reschedule multiple times. Then I received a bill for $343 just for someone to read my previous records from another doctor. I was asked by this facility to get my records sent over and no one mentioned a charge for them being looked at especially a charge over $300. Every time I call the billing department no one knows what is going on, so I get transferred multiple times, and I have to explain myself multiples to each person. No one responds to my emails either.
I was referred to the ENT center from my primary doctor as they haven't been able to identify what is causing a long term cough. It took 3 months to get an appointment, which meant 3 more months of the constant cough with no resolution. I arrived and was seen by Mona Abaza and her assistant for roughly 5 minutes of questions and then she ran a camera down my nose and in to my throat. She said everything looked fine and wanted me to meet with a speech therapist to loosen my throat. She then stated that if that didn't work, then we would move on to another option. I went to the desk to set up this speech therapist appointment and they had nothing for another 3 months. ANOTHER 3 months of constant cough with no resolution. I set up the appointments. One in 3 months and one in 4 months. Obviously not quick to try and help a patient. Then about a week and a half later I get a bill for over $1000 for the 'procedure' that they did. That was after my pretty decent health care coverage. They charged that much to look at my throat and do nothing to treat it. I disputed the charge stating it was consider surprise billing. I went in for a consultation and never told that I would be charged for any 'procedure'. And still no resolution on the cough. They came back stating that because I didn't call before hand and as for an estimate for the appointment then it isn't surprise billing and I still owe the full amount, and they turned off replies so I am unable to reply to the message. How would I know they would be doing any 'procedure' during my consultation that should have just been a co-pay at most? I have cancelled my speech therapist sessions that don't make any sense at all and I will never use UChealth again if that is how they handle appointments and billing. This is a rip off and they know it. This company is a joke.
This place is a joke huge joke I called complained about chest pain all they cared about was the money. Went in due to pain the emergency doctors thought I had a cold. Went to another hospital due to pain they found a blood clot and blood infection. They schedule appointments on there own and when. You try to cancel it says records don't match. Go to any other hospital instead of this one it is a complete joke. They had me on meds for 5 months and now when I'm sick nothing works. Avoid this place. Go to Saint Josephs anywhere but uchealth.
They charge a Facility Fee. My insurance covered my Primary Care Physician fee however .My out of pocket balance was $274.09 for a facility fee. This started in 2024. No fees last year. I will have to find all new doctors. I really liked the care however this is a big hit to my budget.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
