Dr. Bowen's brief tenure at Stanford probably accounts for the majority of his arrogance. He literally forbids medically pertinent topics, exhausts time on archaic procedures, and shows signs of acute emotional dysfunction. Has been known to temporize, instead of addressing extreme symptoms. His patients merely coincide with the technique of his practice, and its pay.

I have recommended Dr. Bowen to my friends and family. He is extremely knowledgeable about weight loss. It is the only program that has worked for me. His staff is kind and personable.

Important information a physician would need to know about his patient was attempted by the patient's family. Bowen's answering service connected the family to his emergency line and Bowen said "Why are you calling me? I know nothing about this." The family member was polite and hung up. He called back and said "nobody hangs up on me!" Arrogance 5 stars. Patient concern 0 stars. Contempt TBD (ours already piqued) Enjoy your vacation.
