It’s been 4 weeks since my hip replacement surgery and I cannot say enough about Dr Blackwood and his staff. Highly recommend!!

Had a total hip replacement today. He did both L and R on my wife. <45 minutes and done, he’s a well oiled machine. Just don’t expect compassion, TLC, or more than a sentence in response to a question, it ain’t happening. So if you’re willing to forego pleasantries and any kind of even routine bedside manner, you’re getting one of the most experienced surgeons in the region and probably the country. For me a no-brainer trade off.

I just met Dr. Blackwood today. Both he and his staff seem very competent and friendly. I am looking forward to getting a new knee and I believe this is the right group to do the job.

Dr. Blackwood was very sincere with us and answered all my questions. Explained what was going to happen wit the surgery and what to look forward to. I’m glad I chose him to do the surgery and also my next one.

I had heard from prior patients that Dr Blackwood could be brusk and hurried. I did not find him to be so. He was informative and friendly. He was highly recommended to me and I would do the same
