List of Charles Jones's Reviews
His very caring demeanor helped me to relax, and he was professional to the task to be done and through followup.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jones as he has been instrumental in getting me back to my old self! He has performed both a surgery and a procedure on me and I have had several follow ups over the course of the years - I am always grateful for his skill, honesty, attentiveness and professionalism! I just really appreciate knowing that if I have any recurring issues I can count on him in the future!
Dr. Jones operated on me in1991 when I had a collapsed lung bad enough to need 1500 cc of blood evacuated from my thorax. I could have died. Maybe they should have sent me somewhere else instead of keeping me overnight to work into the schedule the next day. He didn't have much bedside manner - quiet in general and didn't explain before he pulled a foot of drainage tube out of my chest, still technically excellent, which is what matters because I'm still breathing decades later. I am very thankful for him.
I had an appointment today. Drove 20 minutes each way only to find out the doctor was going to be 45 minutes late. Curious why no phone call was made to make me aware of this so I wouldn't waste my time and money driving to the appointment. So frustrating doctors offices are fine doing this to a potential customer/customer, yet, if a customer is late, they are often charged an office visit for missing or cancelling the appointment? So double-standard! :( Also, the representative at the front desk was rude. Instead of asking me to put on a mask, she just dropped it on the counter in front of me. Interestingly, 3 other employees behind the desk all had theirs pulled down to their chin the majority of the time I was in the office??? So wrong! #1 If you're going to require a mask, have the professionalism to politely ask a customer to put one on. 2. If an office is STILL going to have this silly mandate, make sure the employees are following the same guidelines.
I had to stay on them just to get them to do their job. They did not communicate with work comp. They ignored letters from work comp. I had to keep on them to get them to communicate. They refused to communicate with other Dr. Offices resulting in a lack of info regarding my condition. Additionally, the doctor acted as if he did not want to do the surgery because it was work comp. 1. Terrible communication 2. Ignoring communications 3. No call backs when messages are left 4. No communication with other Dr. Offices If you want good care, don't go to them.
Dr. Jones recently (October) performed gallbladder surgery on me (Genevieve SanAngelo) which he took the time before and after the surgery to tell me what to expect. There were no issues with the surgery. His office staff and PA’s were wonderful, as was he. In November, Dr. Jones performed surgery for me on the pockets of diverticulitis that were chronically getting infected, which caused me to take several antibiotics that made me fiercely sick each time. I was diagnosed with Diverticulosis in CT at least 25 years ago, and was told it was inoperable without having a colostomy. I had one perforation and was going septic 11 years ago, and I dealt with flare ups often, but within the last year I had to take antibiotics 7 times. When Dr. Jones performed the gallbladder surgery he examined the infected intestine and felt confident that he could perform the surgery without having the need for a permanent colostomy. He removed a foot of intestine and did so without the need for even a temporary colostomy. His PA’s were in to check on me each day, and Dr. Jones also came in to check as well. As of two weeks ago I have been released from office follow ups. I can’t even begin to tell you how scared I was to have the surgery, but Dr. Jones eased my fears before and after surgery. I feel that Dr. Jones saved from my life….both my quality and quantity have hopefully been dramatically improved. Thank you Dr. Jones and his staff.
Dr. Jones and his staff provided me with consistently excellent care over the past 3 years. His staff were always very caring and skillful. I have so much respect for Dr. Jones’ life work of providing medical care to the underserved around the world. This obviously translates into the exceptional, compassionate care he provides in his practice. I would highly recommend Dr. Jones.
He assaulted my partner and mocked a mentally ill patient to their face. Then tucked his tail and never apologized when he found out he was wrong on all accounts! Better off with anyone but Charles Jones.
Dr. Jones was called at last minute to assist with my surgery, when my scheduled surgeon did not commit to the agreed time. Dr. Jones was very professional, understanding, accommodating, and did not skip a beat due to the current circumstances. The staff at Foothills Surgery Center also were very professional as well, waiting for my original surgeon to arrive. When he didn't, they to did not skip a beat. Thank you to all in person parties for making all this happen again last minute. Great job!!
Refused to take me seriously about a post surgical cyst. He said it was scar tissue, and I told him it wasn't. I went in 4 times up to three months post op and was ignored. Now 1 year post op I have an open sore in my belly button, and no insurance. It has already cost me $1200 dollars to try and get it treated now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
