List of Coco Dughi's Reviews
Dr. Dughi has been my primary care physician for more than a decade, so I've had ample time to observe her practice. She is attentive, thorough, exceptionally knowledgeable, and, importantly, a great listener. If I could give her 6 stars, I would.
Dr. Coco Dughi, our Primary Care Physician, is thorough, professional and personable! She followed closely the reporting and developments in my open heart bypass surgery. So much so, in her discussion with us it was as if she were part of the heart surgery team! As soon as I was discharged from the surgery, her Team contacted me to set up an appointment with Dr. Dughi and to go over with me on that day any changes in medications or procedures that they noted took place following the surgery. At the follow up appointment, Dr. Dughi then went over the specific highlight details of the surgery process, including explaining again the clip ligation of the left atrial appendage (always good to hear the explanation a second time even after the heart surgeon’s good explanation!). Then, this is where Dr. Dughi’s perspective and initiative came in: she zeroed in on specific needs that I have in the areas of iron deficiency as well as regaining lean mass following the impact on my system of such major heart surgery, and made recommendations and a plan. We have great confidence in Dr. Dughi and in her role as our P.CP.!
I have seen Dr. Dughi twice, after changing from a doctor whose listening skills seemed to be waning. I have never had a doctor who listened so well, and who responds with so much care and kindness. Her insight and decisions are truly good. I'm in, with a lot of relief.
I never met Dr. Dughi But she took great care of my elderly parents who thought she was terrific. I also am an internist and understand the challenges of medical care especially in the elderly with multiple problems. my sisters and I appreciate everything she did for my parents and the confidence she instilled in them concerning her care of them. They trusted her and felt that she had their best interest at heart always.
Listens and is very concerned about my whole health picture
Doctor Dughi has been my GP for over 16 years. She is smart, caring and takes the time to explain ailments (medical issues), and options. She recommends specialists when required and stays abreast of your progress. If you can get in with Doctor Dughi ... you should.
Dr. Dughi is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and literally goes the extra mile. Been with her for years after suffering a plethora of uncaring doctors. Her practice is closed to new patients due to her overwhelming popularity...which is well deserved from her actions and medical advice. I feel very fortunate to have her as my primary care physician.
I've been with her for over 25 years and wouldn't think to go anywhere else. She is caring, informed, listens to her patients and is very vested in their health outcome. Doesn't hesitate to refer patients to other specialists when needed. Top notch!!! If it is hard to get an appointment with her, it is because she is sought after for health care.
It took 11 months to get a first appt. Two years later my husband experienced severe daily heartburn. She prescribed Prilosec. A year passed and his quality of life was severely impacted so he asked her again what can be done. She said he should just stay on Prilosec for the rest of his life (he was mid-30s). He did some research and read about H. Pilori. He made another appt and asked if she could test for it. She tried to talk him out of even doing the non-invasive test and urged him to just medicate for the rest of his life instead. He insisted. The test came back positive. The cure is a simple combo of two common antibiotics. Even with a positive test she insisted he see a gastro specialist in the building. He had to wait weeks to get in. They didn't even run any other tests; it just felt like a scam to get more money around the medical center. After MONTHS of having to advocate for his own care, he finally got the script, retested a few weeks later and has never suffered since.
Initially I was okay with Dr. Coco Dughi. She seemed competent if mediocre. As time went on I became more and more dissatisfied with her and her office. I think there are HIPAA privacy issues (she talks so loud you can hear detailed info about other patients) and she didn't catch something that another doctor noticed. That doctor sent me to a specialist, thank goodness. I fired Dr. Dughi after that and am happier with my new doctor. Also, I don't feel rushed with this new doc and I felt rushed in every appointment with Dr. Dughi.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
