Heather Bright Hoffmeyer's Online Review Report Card

I went to see Dr. Bright Hoffmeyer for help managing severe PMS or possible PMDD. Without asking about my diet, sleep, or any lifestyle questions at all, she told me she could prescribe me Zoloft for two weeks of the month. Although she seemed nice, and didn’t pressure me when I said no to that suggestion, I felt frustrated at the lack of effort to understand what I’m experiencing and offer real help fixing the root instead of masking the symptoms.

Dr. Bright-Hoffmeyer is a talented surgeon and we are lucky to have her in our community hospital. Highly recommend.

Dr. Heather is a phonomenal human being who really cares about you and your baby's wellfare, health.. emotional state. She was there for me when I was..very alone in my 3rd pregnancy. She was extremely professional and very kind, caring and she helped me to be able to..go on and...deliver a very healthy baby boy who is now 4'11" and 9! I also had preclampsia, in the end, & she showed nothing but urgent concern & professionalism. I had to leave another review because, quite frankly, I was absolutely shocked to read a horrible review on her. I am recommending her to others, always. Thankful for you Dr. Heather Bright Hoffmeyer. Having you as my OBGYN was a God send and I will always remember your kindness and care.

I thought Dr. Honeyed was terrific. Nonetheless it's been two weeks since my bone density was done and reported on the portal. There has been no follow up call by the doctor. I've left several messages with her receptionist. The technician told me I'd hear from my doctor in 2 days.

5 min late to my appointment and refused to see me. You think with such an unforgiving policy they would mention it during one of the 10 times they called to confirm and reconfirm appointment. Absolutely inhumane treatment at reception. Stay away from this scam artist

Had a rough pregnancy (tough) and she explained all of the pro's and con's of treatment. Thankfully, due to good care, had a great outcome. Much obliged for excellent care and I would recommend her to anyone who needs care from the start of women's needs right thru menopause.

I was 11 minutes late to my appointment (after driving 30 min to a new location). I would have been only 2-3 min late because of my toddler holding me up; but since I had never been to the location and it was in the midst of several large buildings, I went into the wrong one, which delayed me further. I waited over a month for this appt, had all my paperwork filled out ahead of time, and explained why I was late. They didn’t care and just tried to reschedule me for weeks down the road. I’ll never go back. I have a special needs son and spend LOADS of time visiting doctors... not only have I never been so rudely treated, but I have plenty of experience waiting far more than 11 minutes for a doctor. It is so insulting that they have no tolerance or compassion

While Dr. Hoffmeyer may be a great doctor for someone else (as apparent here), I had an awful experience. Personally: I have never waited less than 2hrs to see her, and when she arrives it's abrupt/dismissive. I had a procedure done and the whole time she repeated "yep this going to hurt, it'll hurt pretty bad". It did - I would have rather forgone the build up. She is not who you want around when you're feeling vulnerable or going through a difficult life event. Professionally: She waited days after they were available to follow up with my life changing lab results (the test took 3 days, I didn't find out until day 6). She then delivered the difficult news abruptly and without critical information. It was excruciating, and unkind. Medically: She recommended that I use the Nuvaring continuously in place of an IUD (why I was there). It lead to wild hormone fluctuations and a 1 month long period. She misdiagnosed another medical issue, leading to a 10K ER medical bill. -Not a fan

This was my first surgery in my life on 12/13/17. Dr. Hoffmeyer did an excellent job. She explained and answered my questions clearly before the surgery, checked closely after my surgery, and followed up timely during my recovery. Her hugs to me were very touchy. Now I'm fully recovered, I'd like to give her an A+. Wonderful doctor to see!
