List of Kathryn Hoch's Reviews
I went to her for unexplained vaginal pain. She did an exam and ultrasounds. Part of the exam was very painful. She remarked “that’s weird. It’s your ovaries but everything here looks normal.” The ultrasounds were normal so they told me, “Everything looks normal so there’s nothing else we can do.” Meanwhile I was still in pain. I got a second opinion from another OB who did the same exams but could tell almost immediately the pain I was having was bladder-related. She also found a rare growth on my urethra that had to be biopsied. I’m having to now go to a urologist to get that removed and figure out exactly what is going on with my bladder as well. For routine care, I had no problems with Dr. Hoch. But if you are in any pain, you will be dismissed and left in the dust if she can’t find anything wrong immediately. I’m also very concerned she totally missed the mass growing on my urethra.
I went to Dr. Hoch for the first time after my Gynecologist had retired. She made me feel at ease, and is really friendly, seems very knowledgeable, and her office staff was also very friendly. This was the first week in her new office, and they seemed to be on top of everything.
This review is ONLY for endometriosis/severe period patients. I went to Dr. Hoch for evaluation of my endometriosis. I was having difficulty breathing and severe chest pains every month and was worried I had endo in my diaphragm. She responded “that’s extremely rare” and told me it could not be removed even if found. She did not do a physical examination or ask further questions. She did not look for other explanations for my chest pain (which was debilitating causing me to miss work). My appointment was less than 10 minutes long. months later I had surgery with another doctor which found severe diaphragm and chest endo bleeding into my chest cavity which was causing my very real pain. That doc said he sees diaphragm endo in at least 5% of patients (NOT EXTREMELY RARE) and definitely not worth dismissing. The endo WAS successfully removed. If you need an endo doctor PLEASE do research and don’t just take the first OB/GYN who says they will operate on you or give you meds.
Dr Hoch and her nurse Alyssa have been amazing. They have great bedside manner and are always understanding and professional. Above all, they always make me feel comfortable and give great medical advice. I plan on seeing Dr Hoch for years to come!
I saw Dr. Hoch for the first time today and talked about birth control options. She listened to me closely and empathized with my struggle on previous birth control. She gave me full information about all my options and let me stay and think in the office instead of rushing me to choose or leave. I ended up deciding to get a mirena inserted and she was very calming and assuring during the procedure. Very impressed!
I saw Dr. Hoch at Boulder Foothills campus and absolutely loved her. There was a comfort level with her that I don't think I've had yet with another Boulder doctor. She's approachable, honest and compassionate - everything I'm looking for in a doctor! Thank you, Dr. Hoch!
Dr Hoch has delivered both my babies and I wouldn't have it any other way. Extremely professional and hasn't forgot how far a good bedside manner goes. She has an ease about her that makes it very easy to talk to her and as a expecting mother that has a calming effect, which is a good thing.
I thihnk she is an excellent doctor. I have seen her for several years now and she has always addresses all my concerns and I have been very satisifed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor in this area.
dr is so good >thronton front staff is so rude.even app staff so rude.i like so much dr hoch and her nurse.thats only reason i go there..front staff is extremely rude.i been going there last 4 years and so.hopfully they be better soon.i have no choice.
She is an amazing doctor! I had problems that 2 other OB/GYN's were unable to properly diagnose. She was very in depth with her explanations and spent lots of time going over possible outcomes and finding out what I was comfortable with. I felt at ease and she makes it a point to treat the patient like a real person. I would recommend her to any woman.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
