List of Lori L. Maran's Reviews
I feel very fortunate to have Dr Maran as my Rheumatologist. I know that I am getting the best treatment for RA.
I have seen Dr Maran for well over 7 years. And could not ask for more or better service and care from a provider. Dr Maran has constantly and always gone out of her way to ensure that my well being is being tended to. She always shows genuine consideration for my best interests. I am so appreciative of her guidance and advice.
Dr Maran has been my dr for 6+yrs. I trust her completely with my care. She has clearly read my chart before we speak. She is up to date on my needs, vaccines etc and always reminds me on time. I value her as part of my care team.
I would highly recommend Dr. Maran. She provided excellent consultation and medication management as I navigated several years of polymyalgia rheumatica. I'm now doing well!

Outstanding rheumatologist. Diagnosed a rare dangerous illness (Temporal Arteritis) other were unable to, began treatment immediately, and continued bi-progress meetings and counseling me throughout a long treatment period. Very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Friendly and attentive staff, one of which capable of flawless, painless, and bloodless, needed monthly infusions of medication. Receptionist extremely efficient and skilled.
Extremely disappointed does not even begin to describe my experience here. A bit of a back story to give this some context - back in January I had three missed appointments with Dr. Maran. I had just switched to overnights at my job and was still grappling with the schedule change, and slept through my alarms. Also, I was dealing with my ailing father and had to make an emergency trip to Texas unexpectedly. I know that, ultimately, it is my fault that I missed these appointments and am not placing the blame onto Dr. Maran's office for this, but with what follows. I contacted the billing department to make an arrangement to pay for the missed appointments, and had them put me on a payment plan. These missed appointment charges were paid off Fast forward to August, and I make an appointment back on July 16th to be seen August 11th @ 2:40 p.m. At the time I set this appointment, there was no indication from the receptionist that there would be an issue. So I wait the three weeks, and then I happen to call today to ask a question. The receptionist informs me that, not only do I not have an appointment scheduled, but that I had been "dismissed" as a patient because of the missed appointments. Which had also never been expressed to me, either in written or spoken form. She said she would have a patient advocate call me, but now that I've wasted three valuable weeks where I could have been seen by another provider, I don't really feel like discussing this further and want others to know my experience. I've also been out of my medication since last Thursday, and have no other recourse than to see an urgent care doctor. I have multiple autoimmune diseases as well and feel that this is just totally unacceptable. The lack of empathy and professionalism is astounding to me, as I told the office staff way back in January about what was going on and why I had missed these appointments - and the fact that I PAID off the missed appointment charges, to boot, makes me even angrier. If you have a choice, avoid this place - as you will only be treated coldly if they don't get their money for your visit.
My appointments with Dr. Maran are ALWAYS on time - I never have to wait. She is thorough, compassionate and listens to my desires for my planned treatment. I would recommend Dr Maran without hesitation!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
