Mesa Vista Of Boulder's Online Review Report Card

Mesa Vista of Boulder just served me the best meal I’ve ever had in any institutional setting! And I’ve been in a bunch over the course of the past 20 years . . . Jails, prison camps, homeless shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes.Today I ordered one of the lunch alternatives, egg roll and a delicious rice/vegetable/meat casserole (double portion). It was obviously homemade, and I washed it all down with a large black coffee. I couldn’t have dreamed of such great fare at my former home in Thornton.Kudos to the kitchen staff at Mesa Vista for having both the culinary expertise and the pride in their work to turn out what I’ve enjoyed eating since arriving on Friday.

Mesa Vista gets such a bad rap. It deserves a second chance.I orIginally came to this facility on assignment hearing horror stories about working here and was highly advised against it. However, I couldn't be happier that I decided to come.Jenn the administrator is so down to earth, understanding and for the 1st time in a long time an administrator I genuinely enjoy working under. SHE CARES and that is a quality you cannot teach.The nurses, a few in particular Kat and Ronnie have welcomed me and helped me learn the ropes of working in a Pysch. unit. Helpful, caring and pleasant to be on their floors. Mesa Vista you need 20 more just like them.Bryan is underpaid and deserves a raise as he works extremely hard to give us all schedules that accommodate us.Carla, Is kind and caring very personable to be around with and keeps the most immaculate central supply room around.I will definitely recommend this facility to others.

As a frequent visitor to a dear friend who recently moved into Mesa Vista, I am pleased with how well Jennifer (the Director), Nicole (the social worker), Louise and Tammi (both at the reception desk) are so helpful and caring.My friend tells me herself that the staff treats her and everyone else well.Mesa Vista is only a short walk to the Pearl Street Mall. I enjoy being able to go out with my friend to walk around Boulder, enjoy the nearby restaurants and to see the sights.I dislike having to mention it, but this review would not be objective if I did not mention the repetitive and annoying Vivage recorded sales talk one is forced to listen to while one is put on hold and is transferred from one department to another. Though it is no fault of their own, I feel bad for how distracting and labor intensive it is for the staff to connect me to my friend when I phone.

Nice place with good people

The Administrator Jennifer Lee is a blessing. My grandfather is a patient there and I am out of state. Jennifer has been very communicative and helped me tremendously.

The employees here are hard working and go above and beyond for their patients. Facility is under new management, which is great. The new management seems to care for their employees

Mesa Vista has been a blessing to my sister because of the kind, caring, and very helpful people who work there. I always feel well informed and I am extremely appreciative that my sister has a secure and safe place to live.

Follow-up on previous review: I followed up and called Mesa Vista of Boulder. To begin, they provided the wrong phone number. I then looked at the phone number provided by google, wrong again. I finally got the correct number from Vivage and called them. I was told the administrator was not available and gave my call-back details. Still waiting on that call-back... Even more, they have all my details and if they really cared about the experience of past employees then they could simply go to human resources and get it.

As in the latest post, horribly understaffed as of Thanksgiving 2020. Weekends and graveyards shifts have no supervision and need it. Proffesionals are leaving to find better work.

I was an employee here in April of 2020. I am not sure if they have new management or not but if they don't, RUN! DO NOT work here and DO NOT send your loved ones here. Constantly understaffed. Management doesn't seem to care about employees or residents. Would love to go back if management changed.
