One appointment had such a long wait time we just left. The receptionist said that mornings are extremely busy so I made an afternoon appointment. She reassured me that the bookings are now spread out further and there wouldn't be a wait. We'll, we're here now and have been sitting for 45 minutes so far. Dr. Wertz did come in within 15 minutes and said that he would have the tech take x rays. That was a half hour ago and we're still sitting and waiting. Fortunately, it's our last visit. "

VERY HAPPY! Both knees replaced with CONFORMIS method. I researched extensively before deciding on method and Dr. Wertz. He is soft spoken but kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Dr. Wertz!!!

Dr. Wertz understands pain and was totally down-to-earth in his approach to relieving my arthritic knee problems. After doing x-rays to confirm, he injected cortisone into each knee (didn't even hurt). And it's worked miracles--stairs are no longer a problem. Plus, two other amazing things: the relief was almost immediate and his treatment held for six months before I had to repeat it. I couldn't be happier!

I had an excellent experience with my total knee surgery from Dr. Wertz. I was back to work two weeks postop and had minimal pain. The whole process was extremely professional and beat my expectations! Thank you.

Dr Wertz is an amazing surgeon and feel very blessed to have had him operate on my knee. He is a quiet man with a lot of heart! I have amazed PT and they couldn’t believe how much further I am compared to a regular box knee. I am not anxious about getting my other knee done now. Great experience

Wonderful experience! Addressed my concerns

I met with Dr. Wertz a couple of times before he performed a minor proceedure on me. I think my wait time in his office was at least 45 minutes, and no one ever apologized for that. The work he did on my knee did not leave me feeling as good as he expected it to. In fact, my knee feels slightly worse than before the surgery. I'm going to get a second opinion and I should have done so in the first place. Fortunately, this was a minor proceedure, but I'm glad that he didn't do more significant work on me.

He did my rotator cuff five years ago and everything seemed OK but then I got a pinched nerve in the same spot and other professionals said it might be related to my rotator cuff surgery. Dr. Wertz refused to consider this as even an option and then he pushed me off onto PT people. He acted like I was trying to sue him, when all I wanted there’s an honest opinion and an effort on his part to fix my pinched nerve problem in my shoulder. His office also messed up my paperwork and charged me for six PT sessions where I did not have insurance coverage. Very disappointed and unprofessional!

This review covers knee replacement surgery on both of my knees, between November of 2019 and August of 2020, plus all subsequent follow up. The best way I can sum things up is to say that Dr. Wertz gave me my life back! Four prior knee surgeries (on each knee) had left my knees in terrible shape. I was highly restricted in what I could do because my knees just wouldn't take it. The surgeries were tough, and rehab was hard work. Dr. Wertz was very transparent about everything, so I was prepared for how much work I was going to have to put in to get the most out of the process. I'm now six months removed from the second knee, and I'm thrilled with the results. I'm hiking and biking, and enjoying all aspects of my life more. I've lost almost 30 pounds because I'm able to be my old, highly active self again. I would recommend Dr. Wertz without hesitation, for anyone considering knee replacement surgery.
