List of Parent And Family Wellness Center's Reviews
I started working with Rebecca Guidera when my daughter was about 3 weeks old, and I recently stopped due to moving out-of-state. I was in a very difficult place suffering with PPA and panic disorder, and Rebecca was a huge part of my healing. Rebecca is compassionate, intuitive, and knowledgeable. She was always able to discern which direction we needed to go in our sessions, and she made me feel supported and heard. I am so thankful for the time we had working together. I strongly recommend her to anyone who is seeking help!
The PWCB was truly instrumental in my recovery from postpartum. To this day, I talk about the important of not just one support person, but a care team... and this expands beyond our postpartum days. My time spent there has laid the foundation for me to always have this care community around me and to anchor in at any time, even if my kid is now 4 years old. Forever grateful.
About 5 years ago, I was referred to the Postpartum Wellness Center by my doctor to get more support for my own well being after focusing solely on kids/family for too many years. I started seeing Kate Kripke, a therapist at the PWC (I was honestly a little embarrassed to show up there when my youngest was 3 years old, but I quickly learned that they work with women and families at all stages as you can read about on their website). I first started seeing Kate for acute depression and anxiety, but I continued seeing her once I felt better because I NEED outside support to talk through parenting, relationship, and life struggles. I have learned that all of my parenting frustrations are tied to a much bigger picture that, when properly addressed, resolves. I yell less, I cry in frustration less, and I am less irritable. I have far more patience and empathy for my kids AND myself.
I was really struggling after I had my first baby, I felt very anxious and didn’t feel like myself. The PWC helped me find strategies and tools to get me through that very challenging time. Because of the support I received, I felt more secure with my parenting skills as a new mom and less anxious when baby #2 arrived.
I have been working with PWCB, specifically Kate Kripke, for over five years, and I have grown so tremendously as a person and a mom. I have felt incredibly supported as I have navigated my journey. I am given the space to show up and explore my most vulnerable self, and given tools on how to live authentically and mindfully. I would absolutely recommend PWCB to moms and families.
Kate Kripke and her team at the PWC are simply incredible. As a first time mom this resource has been invaluable! I seriously can’t say enough about their amazing support.
I started with Diane Michel for lactation consultant. She trully cared for both mom and daughter. My little one got through the tongue-tie treatment, thanks to her advice and reference to other professionals. Then I got introduced to Rebecca Guidera for post-partum depression therapy sessions. She's professional, kind and a great listener. They aren't covered by my insurance, but the fees are very reasonable. Being isolated due to COVID, I'm so grateful to have their support during that rough time.
As I departed the hospital after my second child, I was given Kate Kripke's business card "in case I needed support". Not long after, I began having postpartum anxiety symptoms and I contacted Kate immediately. I was new to town with no community and no support with a newborn and a toddler. Kate supported me through everything from my postpartum anxiety to making life adjustments with the goal of being the mom I dreamt of being. I cannot imagine motherhood without the education, guidance and support I received from Kate.
I began working with Kate Kripke at PWCB shortly after the birth of my son, when I was experiencing very severe postpartum depression and anxiety. I was in crisis, and was met with both understanding and urgency. After making it through those extremely difficult months of early motherhood, I've been able to work on recognizing and addressing negative thought patterns that tend to come up for me, and understanding that I have the power to break certain cycles of thought and behavior.
Kate Kripke is compassionate, understanding, and great at challenging my thoughts, attitudes, and expectations that really didn't serve me (as an individual or mom) or my daughters well. While flexing through this pandemic has been quite challenging, the sessions that I started with Kate at the beginning of this year really help equip me for this. I am emotionally healthier, less stressed, and more present. It's a journey with many ups and downs but I feel I'm on a better path. By the way PWCB is not just for new moms. :)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
