Dr. Levine asked piecing questions for me to explain my condition thoroughly. He wrote notes for me to take along for some benign recommendations to see if any of them resolve the issues. He recommended more invasive procedures after seeing if the simple ones work or not. Easy to talk to, took a lot to time. Lovely man.
First time visit with Dr. Levine. He is attentive, responsive, writes notes to share with patient. Clear at explaining all the issues which may be involved in the problem. Suggests the most benign treatment before moving on to the more invasive ones. A lovely man, easy to talk with, given enough time to explain difficulties. He asks good questions to get the fullest explanation of the patient’s difficulties. Gastro stuff isn’t easily diagnosed as the condition can have developed from a variety of sources which Dr. Levine is ready to explore.
Started an hour late. From start to finish, the colonoscopy took 7 total minutes. Shortest time ever for me. Resulted in a torn spleen, internal bleeding and a helicopter life flight to St. Anthony trauma hospital for emergency spleen surgery. This is an extremely rare result world wide but Dr. Levine explained it away as “It is not that rare”. How many spleens have you killed Dr. Levine?
His knowledge and advice was 2nd to none from what I have witnessed. I felt very comfortable with him.
Selfishly, I'd prefer not to leave a rave review. The more patients that know about Dr. Levine, the more difficult it will be for me to get in for future appointments! But the doctor & his team are fantastic - consummate professionals. They worked me into their schedule with urgency when the situation required. They were gentle with me through a disliking of IV placements. Dr. Levine, the anesthesiologist, & the assisting all sat down to chat with me to make sure I understood the procedure and was comfortable with it. The operation went well (3 for 3 times!) and I was made comfortable during discharge. Everyone was very kind & informational on my way out and made sure I knew post-op instructions and how to get in touch with the doctor on-call. Dr. Levine, Sherri, Dale, Ashleigh, Marie, Mary, & the others: all compassionate, friendly and very good at their jobs. I was checked on the day after my procedure & have nothing but good things to say about this physician + his team. Shhh!
Extremely inattentive and seemingly uncaring, kept me strung out for weeks begging him for treatment for severe diarrhea due to CDif. I finally switched to a different provider.
Great Dr and his staff, especially his lead nurse Sheri they have taken great care of my wife throughout the years they both have spent many, many hours on the phone with the insurance companies navigating a Myriad of problems All in order to give us the proper care and treatment needed . Hard working great people who we and many others really respect and rely upon. Highly recommend this special group of professionals Thank you all so very much.
My experience here was quite terrible. My BMC Family Dr sent me here. I could not get in with Dr. Levine. So they had me see Helagan because of the symptoms I was having. They wanted me to come in asap. I Mentioned that my Dietitian recommended a SIBO test. She was very rude about it. Also very rude about me already taking a probiotic per my dietitian. She said "I will tell you what we are doing" in the most condescending voice. My entire appointment was about 10 minutes. She did not ask me about any problem or symptoms I was having or anything. As I tried to explain them she kept telling me she was trying to find it from the dr on her computer. The only thing she did was give me a sibo test. I tested positive for sibo. I tried calling numerous times to set up an appointment after because the treatment didn't help. I was in worse pain than before. I finally sent an email telling her and she dismissed it to see my family dr. Moved into a new gastro Dr where are actually getting somewhere!! I would NOT recommend this group. A waste of time and money.
Great Doctor and friendly caring staff. His assistant Sherri is always there to help and answer questions. Just an easy, relaxed professional operation.
Worst GI doctor I've been to, even worse nurse that works under him named Cheri/Sheri. Absolutely no bedside manner and not willing to get to the root of my issues. I've been extremely sick for years with a recent flare up and the doctor told me that I just have anxiety (considering I've been on anti anxiety medications). He demanded I get off these medications which I told him I didn't want to do because I didn't believe my issues were anxiety-related. He refused to treat me since he had no alternative answers/tests to perform. I know my body, and I know my GI issues are not anxiety-related. Low and behold I went to another doctor who performed a bunch of new tests and found a completely new diagnosis. Medical neglect and gaslighting.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
